Hey guys,
I am in the market of buying a 2 piece rotor for my Supra. The brand I really want are “Project Mu”, but sadly I couldn’t find any rotors that will fit to our oem brake calipers. Project only has their full 2 piece set with the lines and etc. The only 2 piece brake rotors out there that I know of are, Paragon, Giro Disc, and Figs 2 Piece Rotor. Has anyone installed and ran with these rotors? To be honest I haven’t heard any of these brands before.

I would like to hear your guys opinions ?
Thanks,
Vunna Lee

I'm interested as well. I just ordered a set of Paragon rotors last week, but I haven't received them yet. I'll be putting them through their paces with several HPDEs this year. My stock rotors warped.

I also wanted to do this upgrade but then think that it’s a better deal to buy a full BBK from P2uned.
Id be incredibly cautious of the p2uned bbk. They're off the shelf Taiwanese made calipers with no regard to piston sizing needs, its possible these could cause a massive swing in brake bias. I sent them a number of technical questions about them and they were unable or unwilling to answer any of them. Just my 2c.

Agreed. I also heard some rumors around the BBK you are using too, but they are just rumors at this point.

Signature was pretty open about techinical questions, they even published some very techincal details about brake bias, construciton, etc. Its one of the main reasons I went with the kit. If you have any other questions about it feel free to DM me. Im very open about the issues with it.

The rumor was alibaba chinese rotors and possibly fake brembo calipers. However most of the photos I have seen look like legit calipers. Rotors are harder to see visually.

Interesting, I havent heard those. Everything on mine seemed solid. Ive done real brembo BBKs before, and the calipers looked real to me. I know 2 e90 guys who have the kit that track with them, and no complaints from either of them.

I don’t track this car, I’m more into drag racing and street driving so for me that would work well because of the weight reduction.

However for different applications different brakes might be better you are right.

In that case, I wonder if going to the 2.0 front brakes would have more weight benefits?

I honestly think that these 2 piece rotor options are overpriced.

I also agree about that bbk. They are really made by APG just with a different brand label. They don't sell replacement pads, and there aren't any weight saving with them from stock.

I agree. Two piece brake kits are over priced. If I were to spend 5,000 for one I would go for Project Mu, but I don’t have 5,000 to throw around like that. Plus I’m still paying for my Supra lol

Nice. I’m happy for you. Let me know how they are once you install them to ✌
