These cars do consume some oil and the temps are set hight to burn that off for emissions. So it may be oil. I blew a turbo and it was white smoke as it dumped oil into exhaust. So may just be some oil blow by. But agree would be good to see what dealer says.

I drove mine home from being PPF'd and there was a lot of white smoke.. but as it was a cold night I didn't think much of it. Also it was only about a 15km drive so I figured the engine probably didn't get a chance to warm up.

I popped the oil cap today (hadn't driven it since) and well, it didn't look great.

Hopefully it's just a build up of condensation from sitting around for weeks on a boat. ?

Probably condensation. I have about half that amount when my Supra sits for 3-4 months during winter. You'll see that same type of thing in catch cans.

Thanks gentlemen. @zrk Didn't smell like anything. Wiped it off and waiting for weather to clear up so I can go for a spin.

Really appreciate the feedback!

White smoke is coolant. Blue smoke is oil.

Any updates on this? I'm having the same problem. Just did catless downpipe and BM3 OTS 93 tune. After about 3 weeks I started to see smoke. Very intermittent. Only seems to happen when cruising in normal mode and when I come to a stop. Will do it once or twice and then seems to go away but I can still smell something is off from the exhaust.

This has been an on and off issue with my car as well. The car has right at 8,000 miles on it and it also has a catless downpipe. Here recently, within the last two weeks I've had the car plume white/grayish smoke out of the exhaust two separate times, always smells like burning oil, both times were in normal drive mode and only when coming to a stop. In the past, it's also been this way, always normal drive mode and coming to a stop, and smells like burning oil. I only ever noticed this after swapping to the catless downpipe.

Doing oil checks always shows the car is at full oil level. The car also still idles, starts, and runs and drives as if it's brand new, it's still strong as an ox. It never has any smoke issues on startup or while under throttle. One thing I noticed is oil in my stock intake system when I installed my aftermarket intake. From all the posts I've seen of people having this issue, it seems as if all of us have a catless downpipe.

By the way, if you ever get an idiot in an older car that revs their engine and races you to the next stoplight to show how they beat you: put on your best concerned face, roll down your window, and tell them they're putting out a lot of white smoke at WOT.

They'll never entirely shake the worry that their head is blown, especially if it's a older tuner. Bonus points if you say this to an STi owner.

This is the best advice I've read on here yet, hahahaha

If you have oil in the intake charge pipe I would inspect turbo.

I'm actually going to check my charge pipe this weekend. When I installed my MST intake there was quite a bit of oil in the factory airbox.

Same issue with me. It's pretty rare but when it happens it's a touch embarassing.
