I was watching a video saying about Supra being majority the 2nd people's car and I'm curious to see how that applies in the real world.

Please share what makes you have (or have not) Supra as your daily car.

  • Is Supra your daily (or only) car?
  • If not, what cars do you have and what makes you avoid Supra as a daily car?

Starting the thread.

I currently have a 21' Corolla (on the endless dealer loop to get one A90 MT). But I'm really looking to have Supra as my only car and use the Corolla on trade-in. I don't have daily commute as I work from home but that will be my all-purpose even during the winter, just avoiding the bad days as I already do that today with a Corolla I'm sure I'll be fine. I do around 15k miles a year and I'm in Downtown Toronto

- No.
- Have a truck for family duties.

If it was still just me and my wife, we would probably both be perfectly fine with the Supra as our only vehicle. Can’t lug around as much stuff, but the vast majority of the time, we would just be bumming around town or participating in car activities, so sports car fun trumps cargo capacity.

Technically my Supra is my only car, but my wife also has a car that I have regular access to (Mazda CX-30)... so it kind of isn't my "only" car.

I also don't drive that much. So for me it is like having a second / weekend car that is also an only car.

Supra was not intended to be the daily, though I do drive it about 60% of the time now. I just can't help taking those keys omw to work.

My actual daily/wet weather car is a 2015 GTI, unfortunately also a 2 door. Don't drive it as much as I'd like to but the storage space comes in handy on occasion.

Nice poll!

I voted No - I own a '23 MT.

Reason the Supra isn't my daily is not because anything is wrong with the Supra as a daily, but simply because I bought it as a garage queen / special sunny day drive only car, to keep as pristine as possible for many years, within reason.

I have a new daily, automatic, tiny petrol 1.2 which gets me around and to work in comfort and cheaply (it's a '23 DS 4 - 99% sure doesn't exist in US) it's essentially a French version of a Lexus hatch.

However, must say, as I'm getting older I've come to appreciate AT more, so if I were to Daily a Supra, I'd almost certainly switch to the ZF8.

Technically it's my only car, but I do use an e-scooter for my day-to-day tasks like grabbing grub or what not. It helps me from overspending at grocery stores! And fun as frick because all the sidewalks are curvy, so I get to touge.

Yes and no. I daily it when the weather is decent, otherwise I use my WRX. Depending on the season it’s roughly 50/50.

Nope, definitely not a daily. Especially in Canadian winters.

Have a 23 gv70 Genesis and a 22 corolla for dailies.

The supra is my daily car. Originally wasn't intended to. When I bought it, it was the start of the pandemic and I lived across the street from my place of work. Living situation changed and I ended up needing to commute. Was planning on getting a second car to commute in but the car made my 15 mile (55 min) commute somewhat enjoyable. Currently just hit 60k miles.
