This is a debate no matter where you go, so what do you use? I’m Apple all the way, don’t know how people use Android, lol…

Android for the same exact reason - not sure why people like Apple so much and usually Apple features are a few models behind Droid.

Android all the way. Pixel line specifically. I actually do own an iPad Pro and its a wonderful piece of hardware and I love how powerful it is. I use it mainly for video editing buy dear god I hate iOS. It's so unintuitive and clunky. The fact that you cant do something as simple as start an upload or something in one app and swipe away from it to go do something else while the upload is still processing in the background boggles my mind.

I switched from being lifelong Android to iPhone simply because of CarPlay and the Supra app was only available on iPhone. The older I get, I guess I don’t give a shit anymore. All I need a phone to do is talk, text, email and that’s about it anymore. Platform doesn’t matter to me.

EDIT: As another sign of turning into an old bastid, I wore ear plugs for the first time ever last week at a show (lifelong concert goer) to Lorna Shore/Gojira/Mastodon

Had android for a long ass time (started with a new note 5 through a note 20), and switched to an iPhone when I bought the car in sept for wireless CarPlay (and because wife kept saying she hates the green texts). Idk, it’s fine. Honestly they are way more similar than people realize. They keep stealing each other’s ideas lol.

Android for me personally, although I caved and got an iPhone when I bought the Supra because it was cheaper and less effort than getting the MMI Prime kit, and I refuse to live without AA or Carplay.

I'd say it's a love-hate relationship. The phone works fine, and it looks/feels nice. I just prefer the Android OS and experience overall, and I find AA works better than Carplay.

Carplay is always trying to fight me on what apps I'm using. IE, if I try to use voice control to go to a destination, it defaults to Apple Maps which is garbage, it also defaults to using the standard messaging App instead of WhatsApp which I hate, and there's no way to change those defaults.

Also because of the way Google Maps doesn't run as a service on iPhone, it's susceptible to being affected by the iPhones battery management if it's been sitting idle in the background for a while, meaning sometimes CarPlay will connect and Google Maps will just show a blank screen which usually means I have to set the phone into Airplane mode for a moment, and then turn that off to get CarPlay to reconnect, and the phone to stop trying to kill Google Maps so I can actually use it while driving.

Most of my issues aren't with the device itself, more-so just Apple as a company and how they try and force you to use their Apps that often times aren't as good as the alternatives, but charge you a premium for being forced to use them.

got an iphone on its first release. have had about 8 generations. pixel and windows phone somewhere in there. i like how customizable androids are, but when it comes to a phone i'd rather braindead simplicity, which iOS offers
