Is it street legal in the nanny state.. and do you know of any local purchase/install options?
For your nanny state (VIC?) the HKS Super Turbo muffler is street legal db wise. Tomei Type D or Type R probably not (even without an aftermarket DP) as they don't utilise any valving.

For even more sounds their dual exhaust is awesome. Apexi N1 Evo has a similar design (but cheaper) as HKS's dual exhaust

GR SUPRA CUSTOM PARTS | PRODUCT | HKS (hks-power.co.jp)

TOYOTA GR SUPRA 3BA-DB42 B58 HKS SUPER TURBO MUFFLER - YouTube (HKS Turbo Muffler, stock DP)

SOUND CLIP FOR HKS DUAL MUFFLER A90 TOYOTA GR SUPRA - YouTube (HKD Dual Muffler, stock DP)

GR Supra Apex-i N1 Exhaust Sound Clips + Install Tips - YouTube (Apexi N1 Evo Extreme, stock DP)

The good thing with HKS + Apexi is they retain the valve system so you can choose to be loud or quiet. Their piping design and craftsmanship are excellent as well, so you won't sacrifice power for sounds.

I really like the Ti, as the thinwall gives it a little more of a rasp and less of a 'deep humm' tone... But other than weight savings, that's the only difference with Titanium.

Cheapest way to add a good amount of noise ( not legal anywhere) is a catless downpipe, if you want to retain the stock cat, have a custom straight pipe catback built, can be done for about 1k-1500k USD depending who you take it too, and that'll be a big volume upgrade.

I was invited to the down-under launch of the Supra (and the GR Supra GT3 concept) as a part of the state Supra club.

They had a pre-production A90 there that was US spec exhaust. That was seriously loud compared to what we ended up getting.

Do y'all get like a Prius spec exhaust or something?

The USDM cars are comically quiet stock for a two seater sports car.

Something to watch out for with Tomei
Not to keep beating the aFe drum (feel like I'm shilling for them at this point) but given the four V-bands that hold everything together, it's really easy to dial in the fitment and get things positioned correctly. Just work your way front to back a couple of times turning things and you're done.

The Tomei uses slip joints and band clamps, which given the friction are significantly more difficult to turn with precision once installed as compared to V-bands.

I'm a V-band believer now. o_O

Yeah, I only use V Bands when fabricating exhausts too.

The Tomei fitment is fiddly - but I am OCD so it had to be millimeter perfect. I did have to slot the holes on the brace between the two pipes at the back, and one side sticks out maybe 1-2mm futher than the other, but the tips are centred in the cutouts, no leaks, happy days.

But it's certainly not as bad as clickbait youtube morons would suggest, and definitely wouldn't stop me from purchasing the exhaust.

Nice, how do you find the sounds (quality and loudness), any drones
on the freeway?
