@D3ad_Hand solid post and good contributions from the guys here.

One point I would like to add is that everyone gets hung up on the horsepower wars and forgets about torque.

With the stock turbo you can make 475whp but still hit above 600wtq. This makes for a very snappy car from a launch. I catch Mopars and Bowties sleeping at stoplights often. Even the Pure800/850 bois need a decent stretch to catch up.

With 600 wtq you can have a fun car without throwing 10’s of thousands of $$ at mods.

I got my 2023 A91 earlier this year and just now getting around to modding it. Do you think Active Autowerks catted downpipe E50 with stock turbo would be just as fun as a catless downpipe with an E50 tune and stock turbo? Both scenarios tuned.

Catless can gain another 15-20 whp. It costs much less and can shoot flames if you want.

The downside is the nasty unburned gas smell at stop lights and garage starts. That’s the main reason I went catted.

Since we are on the subject of more power. I have a 2023 and looking to upgrade the power with the property cooling components or add-ons. Do you think the DAW Flowmax hybrid turbo would be better than a Pure 850?

Catless at E50 will get you to around 500whp. If you're going to tune it go catless.

After a while the smell is not that bad, mine is catless and straight piped. First time around it's bad. a few drives later not so much.

DAW is currently the best in quality. Pure850 is not so bad either. Remnant just released their turbo as well which according to them can go up to 45psi. It all depends on you, and your tuner. Do keep in mind you need cooling so go for the CSF cooling package, and if you have money to spend go for an intake manifold.

My recommendation is go rn keep it stock turbo. Go catless downpipe, and catback, CSF cooling package, Flex Fuel, Methanol kit, Charge pipe(Because you need a meth bung), intake, oil catch can or air oil separator but can is better, get some good wheels semi slicks or ps4s up to you, it should get you to around 530whp with a good tuner. This is a nice setup, after all these mods go for a turbo upgrade. Getting your car ready for a turbo upgrade, and if 500+whp is enough for you you can stay on that setup which is really good.

Nice thread, would be nice to see what tires required at the relevant power levels as well.
Also estimated 1/4mile times for the power levels would be a nice add.

I would try to add those in as well. I'm currently getting dyno sheets and builds to set even more example or ways to achieve said power. As for the 1/4 mile I would have to find some draggy videos, but I'll try to do my best.

Thank you so much for this thread. I just purchased a brand new ‘24 MT 45th and already I feel that going with AA downpipe and catback with that full 3.5” single was a smart move that sets myself up for making good power.

Congrats on the car. Most Definity AA dp with a full catback will get you some good power. You can pair it up with a JB4 and a custom tune from @Jesse DaBears if you want to. Smoother ride with more power. After a while you can go with an unlock with bm3 or mhd. Good luck.

Damn rally good read. However, still left with some questions.

Are there significant gains between unlock stage1 and jb4 with custom map with Jessie? I am not looking for crazy power just slightly more fun out of my car.

If your ecu is locked you're going to have to ship it to femto. However, if it's already unlocked you can bench unlock the ecu at any garage it if it was sent back to the dealership, and then go with BM3 or MHD.

Now back to your question. Well it all depends on your next steps. First of all get a catless downpipe it's a must. If at some point you will get a custom tune which I highly recommend then go for the ots map. Get a downpipe and go for stage 2 map. However, if your ecu is locked and you don't want to go through the hassle of unlocking it. Buy a JB4 with a downpipe with a Jesse tune.

As for the gains, it's not that different both should be around the same whp, but jesse's tune will be smoother as it is for your car specifically. and ots maps are for everyone.

To sum it up, if you will go for more power at some point go with an unlock. If not get a JB4 and a Jesse tune.

I'll let @Jesse DaBears chime in on this. Jesse any takes on this question?

I have cattle dp AA, and mpe.
I already contacted him, only heard good things and actuality saw him here out couple kids here.

I don't think I'll ever want more than 450whp on this car, since it's daily driven.
