Looks like PI wins again!
To be fair: does this really prove that DI is a bad choice? I mean the guy has a shit tune. I would like to see what this would have done in better hands. While PI may be the preferred choice - it doesn't discount DI. (yet)

Not a Corvette.
I'm not sure, it hasn't been stated very much yet, does this guy have 250k followers?

I agree that this tune is crap and isn't giving a good view of the capabilities of the hardware. It's a bummer for sure and it gives the "I live my life 8 PI secs at a time" guys more fuel. (See what I did there?)

I have no idea about the other drama so I don't have anything to say about that.

I will say that your APR "aero" ain't slowing you down, even if you keep saying that.

Not knocking DI I just meant the hopes for this to show DI had potential against PI was a failure and now we have to wait “2 weeks” for someone to try and do it properly

I’m all for trying new options to get new results but did u do any research before jumping headfirst into this. Everyone knows a stock trans shits out at 620-650wtq. So because u couldn’t hold up your end u do a chargeback. Get fxcked dude. I was excited for this data for the community but you’re just an idiot trying to get out of your commitments because things didn’t go as u wanted. I hope spool has all your posts here to send to the bank and they win the chargeback

ChatGPT Prompt:

There are two fueling options for the A90 Toyota Supra. The first option is called PI (Port Injection) and is controlled via piggyback controller called Motive Reflex. The second option is upgrading the HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump), the fuel injectors and the LPFP (Low Pressure Fuel Pump). Please create a marketing announcement that the second option is now available to everyone and it is a far superior option that will unlock the performance of the A90 Toyota Supra. Please write this marketing announcement in a slightly over zealous tone with a lot of colorful words.

This explains why the first few posts sounded like marketing material lol.
I was folllowng this thread closely from the first post and I thought the same thing immediately lol, like it wasn’t even subtle at all.
It’s a shame as I would have loved to see a proper, end user build using Spool’s new products.
Thing is, if it’s done well it will market itself. Though in this case I feel like the only data Spool needs out there, aside from maybe a few happy customers, is proof that the pump and injectors can keep up and supply enough fuel at X level.

also wanted to call out @razorlab and Jesse for providing actual useful feedback to the OP on the logs, that info is gold and hope to see more of it on this forum and as I learn this platform so thanks \o/

IMO I wouldn't call @Awad a thief. However, mistakes were made.

1. Car was not ready. Other than fuel there were other limitations one good example is the transmission, maybe cooling, intake manifold, heat exchangers etc. Buuuuuuuuuut the car was not ready for said fueling upgrades. In that sense you would not be hitting the limitations of DI first, but rather the transmission before anything else. Anything above 600wtq you're just playing with fire on a stock trans. Then a bunch of other stuff that would need upgrading.

2. Garbage tune. I saw you post an IG post by Sameh saying that he's testing full on DI, and with one of the best B58 tuners literally waiting for a golden opportunity like yours, you fumbled it. You should have went with someone reliable for tuning, and knows what they are doing. Because most just go with PI, and be done with it. Great Tuners know what's missing and what is not missing, when your engine is about to blow up or when you hit your limit, and the most important thing the next steps, and they would give out realistic numbers. Throwing stuff at the car and hoping people know what they are doing was unreasonable on your part. Also, since this is mostly testing you should have went with a tuner who know what they are doing. It is not a simple slap on project.

3. Being shady about the promotion. If you would have just come out and said that you were sponsored by Spool, no one would have had a problem with it. Instead we found out from @Jesse DaBears that you were sponsored by them, and just didn't mention it. I don't get why you just didn't mention that you were sponsored. People were also suspicious when you posted an invoice with 15% discount. You should have just came clean.

4. Unrealistic numbers. There was no one here who actually believed that you would get 750+ whp from DI. Just being realistic. It should have been branded as testing, and pushing DI to it's limit to get actual numbers on it. I guarantee you no one would have had a problem with it then. As everyone here is for testing, and finding new ways to make said power.

5. Spool situation. Here there were a bunch of them. You did not set a time limit. You did not have it in writing. Marketing was done wrong. Miscommunication. You set a goal for unrealistic numbers. And a bunch of other stuff. What you should have done is get a contract to make everything set in stone. Set a reasonable time frame for installing, tuning and fixing issues. You should have not set goals for this project, as no one embarked on said route. So giving out numbers you did not know you would actually hit was a mistake on your end.

6. Back to stock fueling? If you were buying said items to market it, why would you ever go back to stock fueling? And you wanted to refund it? Does not make any sense. You could have been one of the first people to go full DI, and achieve great numbers. So it does not make any sense when you do the testing with a bad tuner, and then want a refund. This is a process that takes time, you can't finish it over the course of few days, or 2 weeks or so. Constant revisions will have to be made when you are pushing serious amount of power.

IMO a lot of mistakes where made. My previous opinions are just what I saw from this thread. I think there is still some hope left if @Awad dumps he's current tuner, and goes with Sameh or some one else who is reliable, and has good knowledge about tuning B58's. The current situation is still salvageable.

Surely, sir, you are NOT referring to my GIFs as garbage. My GIFs and trolls are a national treasure, sir. They have graced the eyes of kings, queens, presidents, dictators, @zrk , high level executives, CEOs, movie stars, extras in movies, high dollar escorts, hookers, and....your weed man. If you are indeed referring to my GIFs, I demand an apology. I shall not stand for this disrespect, kind sir!
