Curious if anyone waiting for a new one has had any movement? The dealer closest to my house told me NC has received only five so far since I joined the waitlist.

I’ve heard nothing whatsoever, have 3 deposits down. One of the dealers made a comment that it seems like Toyota isn’t producing any manuals right now. Not sure how accurate that is, but we are in that weird time frame between model years so maybe it’s true.

Maybe true in that they are only making 45th anniversary manuals currently.

Toyota of Mechanicsville, VA sold me this on Saturday at MSRP.

By far the fastest and easiest car purchase of my life and my first new car was in 2005, and I’ve purchased my fair share..

100% recommend them. The manager is such a dog person, he literally had my miniature schnauzer sitting on his lap at his desk while we did my paperwork.

Granted the Supra is the only thing I’d ever buy at a Toyota dealership, but I would 100% go here again if they also were a BMW dealer.

Route22 Toyota in hillside nj, Holman Toyota in mount laurel nj and ourisman Toyota in Virginia won’t charge a markup if you reserve an allocated car. However, if that car hits their lot without a reservation, it will be marked up.

Holman currently has a waitlist that’s at least 8 people long. Ourisman does not and they said they routinely get 2 allocations a month. Route 22 Toyota, at the time of writing this has a white 3.0 premium allocation available.

Walnut Creek, CA have an allocation for me for MSRP though, still waiting for arrival

Was looking for fun yesterday and a buttload were in the Baltimore/DC area. On the Toyota website. Find one you like and start calling!

When you find the one you like on the Toyota website, go to that specific dealer’s website and start an internet chat, if they have that. If not, call and ask if the car is still there or in route. Ask for the internet, online or out of state salesperson. Once on the phone, ask if they’re willing to sell under MSRP. If they say no, tell them you’d pay MSRP and put a deposit down right now.

The salesperson wants to sell the car. That’s how they get paid. They will fight for your money. Never forget that. If they tell you on the spot the dealer wants a market adjustment or anything over MSRP, say no thanks and move on. There are plenty of dealers willing to take your money.

Sure it takes some time but it’s fun finding a good dealer. It makes the car buying experience much better :)

Koons Alexandria won’t charge a markup, but they didn’t have one in stock when I last talked to them about a month ago.

Koons Annapolis won’t do a markup adjustment on 3.0 Premium, but they will on the 45th Anniversary model (unless things have changed).

I managed to get a dealer in MS to sell a 45th Anniversary in Mikan Blast for MSRP without a markup. The car is en route, but I put a non-refundable $1K deposit to hold it.
