I know.... My main issue was that to truly get the measurement right, everyone would need Bimmerlink to check the actual full level, then trim the stick to fit. I figure most people wouldnt want to do that. This wouldnt have been an issue if I had the tube made from steel, with a 90° angle instead of rubber line but then I dont think you would be able to install it since there is not much room in the engine compartment. So ya, I gave up.

Which portion are you talking about. The tip that's not pictured ?
The whole tube (braided AN line) from tip to tip. If I could get it to come straight out (horizontal) from the drain plug and then do a hard 90° straight up, that would be ideal.

Not a Corvette.
Probably takes me the same time to check oil level with BimmerLink as it would take me to pop the hood and pull a dip stick. Lol

Lets see if we can keep the development going 😂😭

In the past BMW has had OE oildipsticks for the F82 M4 GT4 (S55) engines/cars.
It does replace the oil level sensor.
A kit exists as a retrofit for S55 and looks like N55:
https://www.bimmerworld.com/Engine/BMW-Oil-System/GT4-Engine-Oil-Dipstick-Retrofit-Kit-F8X-S55.html

Since the Supra GT4s uses the B58, I'm wondering if the GT4 cars have a dipstick. 🤔
However, I do not see an oil dipstick in the GT4's engine bay, maybe someone can spot it.

BMW motorsports used a rubber hose between the part and the neck.
But the part comes from the oil level sensor location.
Maybe a similar implemenation can be done.
It would be CRAZY if the same part works and just need a different neck to fit the engine bay.
Then we all would be fighting for this retrofit kit.

I just want a dipstick. 🤣
Though I am sure deleting the sensor would cause even more annoying pop-ups and warnings.

The B57 oil pan has a dip stick. The oil pan between whatever is on the G05 B57 cars is the same as the one on the supra. So if one really wanted a dipstick, you could probably just swap over one of the B57 parts over with no problems. It retains the electronic oil sensors so I doubt anything has to be coded.

My idea is a 16mm banjo fitting on the oil drain plug and an AN-6 or 8 fitting and hose to a rigid dipstick tube. You could drill the centre of the 16mm banjo bolt and thread it to take maybe an 8mm bolt for oil drain purposes so you didn't need to disturb the banjo assembly every time. Looks like you may be able to utilise the s55 dipstick assembly and my banjo fitting idea together. Might need to grind off part of the pan shroud around the drain plug. I need to look first hand at the installation. Hopefully soon.

From Papadakis' teardown video, the provision is not there.

The pans are different, no idea if a pan swap would work either.
The front section is also different, I assume to clear the subframe.

The banjo doesn't work. It needs something like a half inch spacer between it and the pan since the drain plug is recessed. Then you would have no threads left. You would need a special banjo bolt made. While I have all the machinery equipment to do it, it's just not worth it IMO.

Isn't the recess just a thin cast ring around the plug? Hence my thoughts on grinding a section of the cast ring away creating a slot in it for the banjo and AN fitting.
