Noob/Dummy Tyre change question

I'm thinking of buying a spare wheel and keeping it permanently in the car (I don't care about trunk space loss).

This is because if I get a flat I don't wanna be fucked waiting hours for a truck and then being sent a "wrong truck" and/or the car being damaged while being lifted and towed so I could try to change it roadside and get to a shop of my choice.

Can I just check our Supras definitely don't come with a small scissor jack and lug wrench kit right? We just get the bullshit cheap spray and tyre pump?

At least get a mini spare. You don't want all the weight of 19" tire + wheel combo slowing your 0-60 and worsening the mpg.

And unless you're on a square setup, wouldn't a front or back flat require some kind of universal spare?

Just keep one of the many tire plug kits in the car.

jack is easy part once you decide on what size spare tire/wheel combo you choose. for example, you might be thinking you will get an extra rear wheel. however, if you get a flat in front wheel, your spare tire will rub against lower perch. if you use 10 mm spacer, you will need to have longer lug bolts to secure it. also due to wheel size / geometry change, handling may be skewed. On other hand, if you get an extra front wheel, due to the OD difference, if you replace it to the rear, your differential will be under heavy load and it may break. best is, carry both wheel to make the decision easy. If not, choose the spare wheel size carefully.

Does it not come standard? Mine did. with a jack and the other stuff.

Thanks all for the replies - regarding the size I thought I would get a "front" size (I'm all stock anyway) so a 255 to fit all flat scenarios, so it's normal upfront, and I thought it would be fine at the back.
What load/ differential issue would it cause at the rear please mechanically speaking?
Bearing in mind this would be just a few miles to get to a shop and repair.
I often see regular cars running the skinny spare wheel on FWD or AWD so I assumed cars were designed to be able to take that strain for a bit without permanent damage, especially if driving slowly.

It literally just sits in the trunk. I have it off the car now, I'll put it back in to show you guys. For those wondering how mine came with a spare tire. It's because laws here dictate that every car on the road must have a spare tire or you will be fined. you can also be fined for worn out tires.

Used to be the same here...

I get it though on a car like the Supra generally you don't want the extra weight, it's just weirdos like me that don't mind it for the sake of extra peace of mind...

But it does suck for all regular cars / regular people who are now stuck with these kits which most times don't work very well.

I bought a donut spare from Modern Spare. It's a good kit. I've only had to use it once when one of my wheel rims got bent and it needed to be repaired. Had it for more than a year with no use, but on that day, I was SUPER glad I had it. It does eat up a lot of cargo room so I only keep it in the car for long trips.

Their kit comes with a scissor jack with integrated jack pad adapter. Personally, I hate using scissor jacks, so I kept it in the car, but I got small ramps and a tiny bottle jack that make everything a bit easier to work with.
