So what would you do?

Keep my 275s on my 10" wheels?

Move my 275s to my 11" wheels?

Run 295s on my 11" wheels?
Honestly it really depends on the tire too. As you know, some run narrow, some run wide.

275/35 AR1's feel great even on 10's as they run narrow. CRS run crazy wide so they need a wider wheel. 275/35 CRS feel pretty good on 10.5. RE71RS are in between. 275/35 V730's run really narrow and feel like a scalpel when mounted on 10.5. 295/30 Conti ECF feel good on a 10.5

Made it sub 2s! Barely...
They actually got up to temp! Because of that, I would say more grip than the 315s.
Told ya :) I wasn't even worried. You had this.

Coz I wonder if 295 is faster and should move to it, but have no expeience with bigger tire so I ask ppl who had? I'm not asking for wheels size.
But everyone is explaining that chart AND giving you advice based on experience but you keep saying you don't believe them, so :dunno:

So if 275 CRS are good for a 10.5" wheel, I think the 295 might be ok for 11" wheel. The tire measures .7" wider. The 285 is .2" wider than the 275. But then again, do you want more tread or more stretch? 285 may just be the perfect compromise.

Edit to clarify. Basically, what is considered ideal stretch?

275s on a 10" wheel = .3" stretch
275s on a 10.5" wheel = .8" stretch
285s on a 11" wheel = 1.1" stretch
295s on a 11" wheel = .5" stretch

These are all based on the CRS. Now if you do a 275-40, it's actually wider than the 285-30 and also about 2" bigger in diameter. Lots of variables.

Told ya :) I wasn't even worried. You had this.

I'll let you know next time I go there. Would really like some instruction from someone who knows the course. Was my first time there.

It's my understanding that for performance stretched is preferable to pinched.

Of course! I'm not a pro by any means but I know BWCW13 like the back of my hand. I think there's probably a bit or two of info that may help.

Like previously said, it’s like splitting hairs between the 275 & 295 squares. Tire availability and price is a nice edge for the 275s. Added bonus, having more clearance up front. The car feels good trail braking and other Supras guys I know, our times are up with the fastest BMWs - down here at least. Cost & availability = more track time for me. And it’s nice being able to run Maxxis Victra RC-1s. Lots of us love them down here. Could be a heat thang. Who knows. But they do feel great!

(edit: I‘m also standard power. If y’all have more power, makes more sense)

Went off at the end of riverside.... probably going 100. The dirt is soft so it caught and rolled. So don't do that today and good luck on the 1:55!
I wonder if he went too inside and caught that edge and upset the shit out of the car. That happened to me on my second session exiting riverside wot almost shit myself. Car feels like shit tbh, 1:57 is fine for a shakedown though. Lots of adjustments to make.

I honestly think he got the typical s2000 throttle lift death wobble and didn't catch it. Was it still there on Sunday?

You running a 157 makes me feel a lot better haha. I had that in me but traffic was terrible in my group. One lap I was on a good one and had the car in front of me lose it at the turn coming on to the straight. I had to slam on the brakes and still got a 2 flat that lap.

Ahhh super unfortunate. Honestly im losing time everywhere, i need to turn in earlier at a lot of places and grow some balls at Phil Hill. I take bus stop fine imo 80+ but Phil Hill im taking at like 70 because splitter grave. I really need to tune my suspension setup, every berm feels like a bounce house lol. I had nothing but traffic after session 1. I stopped after session 4 and skipped out on open track, was just too tired lol. I also need to raise the car a bunch. Maybe 3 finger gap in front and 4 in rear lol.

Hahaha, you can PM me. Yessir. My times dropped quite a bit not worrying about fender rub & excessive tire wear. I’m totally digging it!

The head mechanic said he went for the most negative camber he could w/out rubbing. Having camber plates and lower control arms gave more flexibility. Some adjustments were done trackside and the rest at the shop. Going back out Feb 16. It’s is an all you can eat (drive) buffet @Sebring and the weekend (17 &18) is a regular HPDE event.
