You should try the Recaro Japan “base frame” kit, it’s a slider with all the base mounts attached. The mounts also have the brackets (seat belt receptacle bracket shown in pic attached) to swap over your oem seat belt hardware. Recaro kit includes an airbag bypass(didn’t use), all the hardware you need (bolts, spacers, washers). Also no need to worry about play/slop, like you would with the sparco/universal sliders are known to have.

Install was a direct swap for me, just bolt the side mounts/seats to the Recaro unit and it dropped right in. I didn’t have to install/uninstall a bunch of times to get things setup/aligned like you would with the traditional milled base mounts.

Thank you for the recommendation. I ultimately went with PCI bracket and slider. I am mad at myself for not doing this the first time around. Live and learn I suppose.

Are there any seats that retain some 'comfort features' but still allow a 6pt harness when tracking? Looking at the Recaro Sportster CS/GT, the CS doesn't support a 5/6pt belt, and the GT doesn't have heat :(

Ideally, I'd like heat and a non-fixed back. 6pt and 3pt support.

Try them out 1st. Fit is the most important factor. Then you can look into heating options.

Yes depends on the type of halo seat. I'm running the OMP HRC, used in the factory GT4. I sat in it at the shop to test, vs relying on internet folklore, and am tall enough to look over the side head bumpers, and have no blindspot outside of the car as a result of it. I can't see a bunch of things in the passenger half of the cabin, but mirrors are fine.

You'll still want to custom fit some cushion inserts with FR foam, at least for lumbar.
Which size seat did you get - standard or XL? I 'm curious if the XL will fit in the car. I know the standard is a tight fit. Thank you.

Standard, you're welcome to try mine at a LRP event though. It's generous in sizing.

Thanks, I had sat in a standard and it seemed to fit pretty well. At 6'4" the seat back was JUST high enough for me, though the waist area was great for me as a 31' waist. How tall are you if you don't mind me asking?

Seems like the standard HRC-R Air is just able to fit in the car, so I'm curious if a XL would fit at all.

Did anybody end up trying the OMP WRC-R? Thoughts?

Went with the PCI mount with slider. Hope my 6’3” dad bod can fit it okay… sitting, my hip to hip measurements seems like it should be snug but I’ve heard/seen a few Supra folks say it’s a pretty decent seat…?

I went from a Sparco Evo to OMP WRC-R and it has much more support and is more comfortable.

I'm a bit shorter though. 5'10" and 33 waist.

Thank you for the reply! I’m gonna mount it pretty low to start and go from there.

Belts for track and street Is exactly what we’re looking for. Using the Cusco bar for the harness. Glad to have found this thread (again!).

Hoping that slider @table posted a while back will work height wise for me, so the wife and I can both use it. I’m 6’0” & she’s 5’6”. And the ease of getting in and out would be a plus - being able to slide the seat back.

You didn’t need the plant base mount did you?

I'm 6'2 260lbs with a 34-36 waist depending on pants brand... was curious if anyone had any thoughts on the WRC-R XL size?
