Hey all, attempted to install my new AA dp that just came in. Got it lined up on the turbo, but when I attempt to feed it into the stock exhaust, it seems that the two parts are so close together in size that the dp won’t slide in ?. I’m not sure if there is a slight dent in the stock pipe or what but i could use some advice on how to get the two to fit without damaging anything. Tried searching online but doesn’t seem like this is a common occurrence and videos make it seem so easy to feed. Thanks!

Slip the DP back out and spread those slits in the exhaust a bit with a screw driver. Should help at least get it started.

so finally got it to fit but it was an absolute mission. had to use wd40 and a hammer and just gave a couple good taps to get it in. then just hammered the exhaust bracket while shaking and it eventually made it way to the correct spot with the exhaust bracket bolt. i’ve been in some tight situations but that was insane how much shaking i had to do lol

100% had the same issue as you. Just posting for moral support. ?

I eventually got an sp1r though and that slipped on as easy as every YouTube video makes it look.

Have fun getting it back out. Pro-tip from me learning the same hard lesson: coat it with high-temp anti-seize.
