After seeing them side to side, the A90 doesn't look that much smaller. But the double bubble roof makes it look a lot taller :/
The cars are both very similar in size, the reason everyone complains about the A90s size is because the greenhouse is bigger, like on all modern cars. The A80 had a small greenhouse and thin pillars, that's why everyone dies when they crash them. I made a long post many months ago talking about the evolution of pillar design and beltlines and how that affects relative proportion, but I think people just prefer shouting on the internet about how they turned the Supra into a Suzuki Cappuccino lol.

Also, I think most of you guys misunderstood the idea of this TRD release? These are just dealer add-ons for the Japanese market for when the car launches, basically just dress up parts because they love that stuff in Japan. If you guys want real mechanical/performance upgrades you're gonna have to wait for GR parts, which will likely be available after release, not before it. Seems like some of you thought TRD was releasing the unicorn GRMN model or something lol.

I think it had a lot do with misunderstanding journalists. "Shorter wheelbase than the GT86" is not the same as "Smaller than the GT86" lol

....Really now?

I know of several high profile crashes, including nick hogans where no one died (I know about the passenger that was because of no seatbelt)

I donā€™t know if ANY crashes in the U.K. where someone died in a supra.

ā€œEveryone diesā€ was well off the mark

The older car must have been lowered, becasue the factory height difference is less than 1 inch.
Must be? It's a full race suspension and def not factory height.

Even in the low quality video, you can see the how much shorter the wheelbase is compared to the MKIV, even the rear bumper is chopped on the MKV.

Personally I feel the TRD Kit is a bit disappointing. Before the review, we were lead to believe there would be a Huge Spoiler and possibly New Bumper!

Instead we got Nothing but 3M stick on pieces!!! TRD should of just kept it real so expectations wouldn't be so high.

 For real! Talk about another disappointment. They need to go back to the drawing board if that is the best that they can do. Back in the days, TRD delivered real shit.

TRD Type FT wheels are 6 spoke JDM Wheels pictured on the bottom Toyota Supra pictured. Produced by Rays Engineering for TRD, they were a popular choice for many Toyota Models of the day. The Toyota Supra is also pictured wearing a TRD 3000GT Racing Aero Cowl, which is the fancy name for the vented hood. The TRD 3000GT Racing Aero Cowl is actually a pretty innovative design as it was copied to many Acura Integra, Honda Civic, and Mitsubish Eclipse of the late 90ā€™s.

Exactly this. When I saw the TRD silhouette I was like ā€œholy shit theyā€™re going to nail it and do another 3000gtā€ but itā€™s like they havenā€™t even bothered and I donā€™t understand why...

Honestly the last thing left is the GRMN and after whatā€™s happened so far it wouldnā€™t surprise me if the GRMN was carbon mirror caps and exhaust tips...

Oh yeah it's a huge difference. I am just saying there is a great deal of people on the internet who read "shorter wheelbase than gt86" and thought the car was going to be smaller than the 86 when in reality its several inches wider and longer.
Maybe I am just a stickler on actually reading things and have a lack patience for those who can't interpret information

Itā€™s like the people making this car and parts literally have no idea what the enthusiasts want... fucking sad

Someone could literally get on this forum and read through it and know exactly what to bring to market... instead itā€™s like they surveyed Camry owners...

If 'enthusiasts' actually purchased new cars then it wouldn't be an issue. Cars like Cadillac ATS sedan 6mt and Chevy SS are the cars everyone wants or talks about but didn't sell well when on the sales floor

Iā€™m right here ready to buy... but no manual, no spoiler, no targa, no functional vents, and 15 more hp than 20 years ago...

Unfortunately "Are you willing to purchase a new Supra with a manual, spoiler, targa, vents, and 16 more hp at an unknown price 5-7 years from now?" isn't a great tactic for gauging the market

It seems that spoiler resembles what's on the MKIV more appropriately than the MKV
