:rofl: That DJG wingless though. Or is it a IJM?

Yeah, hookah is worse. I stopped partaking in any extracurricular activities that helped increase lung cancer.
This was actually painted Lotus Racing Green Metallic. Original Baltic Blue car but had a full respray in and out in like '99 or something IIRC, along with a body kit (I'm forgetting what brand). It was an NA 5-speed '93.5, only one owner. Had 220k miles but was minter than mint. Only problem it had was upper oil pan gasket leak, which is common on the GE's, but I ended up selling it before I could fix it. Bought it in Cali, drove it up and down PCH, did a couple canyon runs, and then road tripped it from LA to Dallas. I think I had it for roughly 3 years, but it was super low key, I never really posted it anywhere because that was when I was building my Red '94 and that thing took up all my time lol.

^^Lol I must be the exception that likes both and has a lot of respect for what the MK4 has influenced as far as car culture and aftermarket scene. But, I guess life is so simple as A or B right?

Pretty funny when you think about what the "rest of the world" (Internet) says in comparison to the actual events.

Internet: I'll buy a manual transmission
Real Life: Manuals continue to die

Internet: Screw Crossovers and SUVs. Sedans are better.
Real Life: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/06/the-steadily-disappearing-american-car.html

Internet: $55K for a 370Z competitor?
Real Life: Checking Acct: $11.34

Lol, you are correct

I like both also. Iā€™m also about modern and respect classics, not afraid of change and taking chances, lol. (Think air cooled Porscheā€™s to water cooled, ha)

In the real world, how many people that are heavily criticizing the car are going to be buyers? We even have a few on here that have been so negative about the car but stated themselves that they are not in market for one, so it doesnā€™t matter either way.

There are 2 types of people in regards to the MKV.

There's Supramkv.com

Even if the rest of the world is right, there are literally 0 MKIVs for sale here where I'm at. I would either have to buy one sight unseen from another country or get time off work, buy a plane ticket, find one I like and then wait 2 months for it to arrive at the port to pay +10% in import fees for a 20 year old car that would still need a good amount of maintenance before hitting the road.

A brand new MKV off the showroom doesn't sound like a bad idea now, does it?

Well, my issue is that the MkIV is limited. They aren't making more anytime soon. I feel bad when people really ruin these cars doing stupid mods and even stupider driving. Blowing eardrums with two-step and throwing it on bags kind of defeats the legacy of the car. I think a showroom fresh car is better suited to these antics.

It kind of hit me that the Supra is pretty much a JP Aston(just my opinion)

For some reason I always prefer MKIV without the wings.

Is anyone concerned about the walnut blasting that may have to be done after some high mileage? Direct injections suck! Thanks to the government for their strict emissions on automobiles.

Wish they had implemented D-4S somehow...

True, they're hard to diagnose when they go bad as well. Hated them on my 86. A port injection solution will be the go to mod when they get old.

Ironically, I recently had a few interested parties from UAE and Oman contact me about selling my current MKIV TT 6sp. The demand is starting to become more global as the supply of clean LHD TT 6sp cars continues to decline.

Nice! Initially, I thought it was too light to be a DJG so now it makes sense. Those are Stillen side skirts. I remember the white one that you were selling. You've had a nice collection of MKIV's.

Mods are what helped elevate the MKIV to legendary status but I hear ya and have been seeing some really stupid mods now that the RHD's are starting to arrive in the U.S. I've been seeing more Stanced and slammed with 20 offset wheels and tires that are 3 sizes too narrow.

A lot of them were imported (from the U.S) so if there's a will, there's a way. Maintenance is not bad given it's 20 yrs old and it's easy to work on with OEM parts still available. California tax is 7.75% and we have to smog test it every 2 yrs.

Mine was factory wingless (early MKIV's, the wing was an option) and bone stock!
