I think most members on this website still runs a factory downpipe. The few that have an expensive gesi catted aftermarket DP are a hit or miss on throwing a cel. Those that run catless had the best luck with ArmyTrix. Not many reporting any luck with using an aftermarket cel spacer/mini cat.

Your numbers are a bit off.

thousands of Active downpipes with GESI are on the market , i would not call that a few

95% if not more have no issues

The active downpipes were released a month or two ago, and hundreds have been sold already with zero issues.

I think you underestimate how many upgrade their cars

Seems like everyone with the Kenji downpipe doesn't have a CEL, and it's made by Function Werk. Anyone use their defouler with success (ie - no CEL) with catless or non-GESI catted downpipe?

Found this old thread but thought I might add a response. I have a catless dp and had a cel on, I cleared the code installed the FunctionWerk defouler and no more cel. So yes, the defouler works. I’ve driven a few hundred miles and the cel has not returned. I would recommend the functionwerk defouler to anyone who wants the cel off the gauge cluster.
