I was very hesitant to try these boards given the massive price difference. I’ve seen these go from $200-$350 from US retailers. I watched some install videos and compared the boards. These seem to be exactly the same. As I’ve seen in the past, a lot of these Ali sellers are the suppliers for products sold for much more over here. I figured it was worth a shot.

I was mostly concerned with brightness but I’m happy to report that they look great. These are also US spec which has that little side marker in the headlight. Link to product.

P.S. yes I know my car is dirty as hell. Some dick head pulled out in front of me a couple days ago and sprayed mud all over me. She’ll get a bath this weekend.

The majority of parts from dealers here are all just aliexpress/alibaba products with the company's logo slapped on it. I'm not very surprised about it the DRL. You have this guy royblinge90 who literally makes videos showing you proof, from small carbon fiber bits to brand wheels.

AliExpress is fantastic. The only issue I have is that it is a bit of a roll of the dice. While I 100% agree that all the retailers are just reselling the same shit, I sometimes suspect some of the gear on AliExpress may be factory seconds. I have no evidence of this but it is my suspicion.

Having said this, I have bought a bunch of stuff from AliExpress and the vast majority of it has been really good. As long as you are willing to take on some risk, chances are you will have a significant monetary reward.

If I buy from a local supplier/dealer, I do so only to reduce my risk, taking a financial hit for peace of mind: If a local shop installs and supplies a part, I will sure as fuck hold them accountable for both the parts supplied and the workmanship. While I have gotten refunds before, buying from AliExpress pretty much means putting up with rolling snake eyes from time to time.

Are these plug and play? Did you have any issues with your turn signals? These look sharp, I just don't want to deal with any lights on my dash haha

Yeah I’ve had really good luck with Ali and order quite a bit from them. It’s usually the same stuff you find on Amazon too but takes longer to ship. It’s worth it to save a lot of money though. I was just hesitant since it’s something for a $60k car.

Plug and play. Turn signals still light up orange. No warning lights on the dash.

Appreciate the response! I'll piggyback off your post when they get here.

Good luck! Only snag I hit on the install is that there is barely any slack in the wiring that goes to the DRL boards when you remove the module. I had to wiggle it around a bunch to get the wires free as they seem to snag on the housing. Once they free up a little you can pull the module out enough to unclip the harness. Other than that it’s just a lot of bolts.

OP,
Thanks for this. I was just about to order some expensive ones using a Black Friday discount, but the discount is the same as the total price for these from Ali Express. I'll give these a shot (ordered just now), if they fail, not a big loss.

The biggest surprise I found since subscribing to him, is finding out that boost logic only imports pipe and not completed exhausts. there are some ali sellers with very similar styles of there, but none are an exact match for supras.

That's funny, I just installed my Aliexpress Lemon DRL today. Pretty easy install, about 2hrs at an relaxing pace.

Tip: I removed the old thermal paste with alcohol and replaced with fresh cpu paste (good to 220' C). Should help with heat transfer, figured they get hot, especially after seeing the size of the heatsink they sit on.
