Ooh I would love a 52mm mount for my boost gauge to the center infotainment screen just to hide the wires. I know pod wurx makes one for $400 but I don't need a whole rear cover replacement, just something to double side stick and go over the wires.

I'm actually working on gauges that tap directly to the PTcanbus so response is seamless compared to OBD2. Also shiftlights. I have most of the CAN IDs, and equations to pull raw values so a boost gauge should be quite easy.

This is from @UYCR, he was trying to print some but had difficulty with the shape.

Wish I could scan mine for you. Just bought a new shift boot so I'll be removing that trim piece soon to put it on the new boot.
Sadly I never got the shape to match and I always had a small uneven gap that I just didn't like. Not really noticeable but I knew it was there and bothered the heck out of me. I also ended up changing jobs so now I gotta find a free CAD software if I want to keep going this route. I might just end up making a mold out of silicone to replicate the part out of epoxy since that would definitely be faster and more cost effective. I can walk though how to do this if anyone were interested in selling these.

Any chance you'd share the info to recreate your shift lights?

Any idea on possible timeframe?
Ideally within 6 months, the code and base functionality is there I'm just working on BLE connectivity, case design, and sourcing parts. I most likely will do small batch runs as I'm only one guy ?

Have you though of just releasing the code, and files to let people build it themselves? Either way I'm super interested.

Awesome work. I have a 2024. For some reason tapping into the CANBUS in this car has proven impossible. I dont know if is by design, but even powering a RaceCapture track Mk3 from the fuse box introduces all kinds of nonsense on the car’s behavior, including drivetrain and assistance error codes, CEL that I have to then clear. I have not been able to tap it. Hopefully your solution will work in these cars

Interesting, what fusebox are you using? The one in the passenger side footwell? Are you tapping the PTCAN bus with positaps in the passenger footwell? Feel free to shoot me a DM and maybe I can help ya ??

Are you sure you have the can hi/lo wired correct? This sounds similar to when I wired in my flex fuel sensor into the canbus and had the hi/lo backwards.

Yes. I am using the passenger footwell Fusebox.

I’m using a fuse tap dongle with 2 fuses attached and on spot 47 (empty spot).
Using a multimeter I get 12.7V with ground nearby on a screw that goes into the frame. So no issues there.

then I hook up the power and the ground to a pigtail cable that is supposed to power the RaceCapture and the car’s dash starts to flicker every 3 seconds da or so, with an error sound and eventually throws errors:

one is driver’s assistance features malfunction and the other is drivetrain malfunction followed by a CEL. (I can clear all that with BimmerCode)

but something interesting happened yesterday: I pulled the fuse power out and left the two can connections going (I tapped the black yellow/white yellow twisted pair right next to the passenger footwell - only twisted pair into that bundle) and still gave me the same errors. So now I’m assuming that my issue is the CANBUS tapping, not the fuse power tap.

I m so frustrated that I have now 2 threads on this issue in this forum and I’m asking I. The discord space. Someone is going to get pissed ?

we may be onto something here.
Which one is which?
Because up to now I didn’t know that tapping that backwards could be a problem

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a thread on 3D printable parts, accessories, etc for the Supra. I've seen mention of various parts across the forum, but no consolidated list of anything people stumble across or create. This could also be a good place to dump ideas where people who are more skilled in 3D design could possibly create something useful to the community.

Here are some prints I've created or stumbled across:

  1. Baofeng Radio Mount: https://www.printables.com/model/1111964-gr-supra-radio-mount
    1. I designed this using another very useful design (2) as a way to hold my radio when I make trips to the Tail of the Dragon
  2. Magsafe Mount: https://www.printables.com/model/771395-toyota-gr-supra-mkv-magsafe-phone-mount
    1. Very unique and convenient way to mount a phone in the Supra. I used part of this design for my Radio Mount.
  3. Speaker Mod Ports: https://www.printables.com/model/796936-toyota-supra-mk5-subwoofer-ports/files
    1. If you're doing or plan to do the Speaker Mod for the Supra you can buy speaker ports and mesh or you can use this file to make them yourself and save a bit of money and time.

How did you mount the radar detector to your headliner?
