Top end feels stronger and doesn’t start losing power around 6500 rpm like stock. Feel even more low end torque.

Get an error cel but working on a way to fake the signal but not there yet. Error doesn’t come up all the time but I just check/clear it through jb4 when it does.
I've got a hypercore on order, just to get a clear understanding, are you seeing a CEL because a specific sensor was removed from the inlet?

The hybrid turbo inlets delete the OEM crankcase heater. You need to code it out or a CEL will come on. Super easy to code out if you have an unlocked DME. Will not pass inspection with it on.

It also needs to see flow. I tried hooking up the OEM inlet sensor off to the side and it didn't work.

Excuse my ignorance, is there a reason or benefit to deleting it? Any reason I wouldn't be able to simply bolt up the OEM inlet and run it as-is? My long term plan is a FEMTO unlock (07/20 prod) + custom tune, but I'd love to keep it simple and retain as many OEM parts around the Hypercore and AA GESI DP as possible.

The OEM inlet fits into the compressor housing. With hybrid turbos, they bore out the compressor inlet to accommodate the larger wheel. The OEM inlet would choke flow and no longer seal as it has an o-ring for the factory sized compressor inlet bore.

Understood, thanks for the clarity here guys, sounds like a fairly trivial thing to code out. Assuming you wouldn't want to relocate it by boring a hole further down an OEM part, and screwing it in? I'm probably just beating a dead horse here ?

Does anyone make an aftermarket that has the crankcase heater? Or how hard would it be to have one made or added?

Unless I'm totally misunderstanding this, I believe it's just the PCV valve, right? Looks like DAW offers inlets with either the delete, or the PCV in place.
No, it's the heater, not the breather.

The crankcase heater is molded into the OEM inlet. You could MAYBE cut it out and figure out how to add it to an aftermarket inlet, but why? If you are upgrading your turbo, you should unlock your DME to actually take advantage of it and tune it properly anyway.

Appreciate the clarification and yeah, not worth playing around with that.

For what it's worth, I emailed DAW regarding the oem inlet since their website states: "......installs exactly like Oem, while retaining all Oem hardware". DAW response below.

It may not seem like a big deal to some but for those of us that live in a state and county requiring emissions inspections it would be helpful to be able to swap to oem inlet and set all emissions monitors without setting codes and pass testing then swap back.

I'm femto unlocked with MHD and I swap back to 93 oct, swap to oem downpipe, and flash to mhd ots stage 0 and select "oem downpipe" on checkbox. This will run the all the monitors and pass emissions, at least pass in the state of Missouri, by my personal experience. Or, if you have jb4 you can swap to oem inlet and not set codes.

Maybe someone who owns a daw hypercore can confirm that DAW is correct.

That’s what bugged me too. If one of the sensors no longer fits it is definitely NOT a direct oem plug and play.

Does the OEM inlet have some room to be bored out?

Edit: nm, you’d still have the o ring problem.

Technically it would bolt on just fine, it just wouldn't seal and it would very much choke the flow. I would also worry about sucking in the o-ring with any boost since it is no longer sealing against the bore.
