@ColonelAdama I made the changes, and the car went into limp mode on the first log. I pulled over, turned off the car, and tried again. A lot of hesitation at FF 52. I went ahead and dropped it down to FF 50 and the car felt better. I double checked everything to make sure I didn't input things incorrectly, but everything was fine.

That is strange. Hardly changed anything and was running great. What was the code?

I didn't see anything bad in the log. Just some wheelspin here and there. FF 50 is fine, keep the duty changes.

to keep your current E blend, do this to help out timing:

I looked up the codes and I got:

Catless downpipe
1F053C
Low Battery

I have the car on a battery tender now. Ill try the changes and report back.

Quick search tells me 1F053C "traction control" related. "Max acceleration exceeded"
https://bmwfault.codes/

there are plenty faster JB4 cars lol.... not sure how we've managed to "go too fast" on yours ?

Maybe one-tap TC off "sport" TC for all pulls from now on. May have overwhelmed TC.

You are one humble person, seems like you've created a monster lol

I did read up on the code and it seems to be traction related. It was very cold out, the tires were cold, so I'm assuming this had something to do with zero traction lol

That is one 1D table tweak away in the DME. Easy peazy.

And yes, that will put the car in limp mode. Wait until you also see all the timing the car pulls for traction control with TC on 1 click off. Two 3D tables control that and easy to tweak.

Well aware :) Never had limp mode with 1 click off. Rarely even drive with TC fully on since it is useless

I will unlock when I pay the car off in a year or so, but genuinely the gains will be marginal at best since my power goals don't exceed 460whp. To learn what you know just to tune my own car probably isn't worth it. JB4 is 100x easier.

This is exactly what a JB4 advocate would say ;) Tuning is much more than just power numbers.

I did all the hard work for you anyway ?

Yeah, try it with FF=16, PID gain=15, these duty bias

Probably map 1 to start. And of course needs to be on Firmware V24

Not sure on the altitude, I figure the car will mostly adapt but we'll see how the log looks
Okay so my roads are snow covered, but just got the JB4 installed and setup today. Im a catless AA car with arma intake. Im on firmware 158/26//5 per the app.

Ive set my fuel duty to the above numbers, FF to 16 and PID to 15. I also turned Auto Boost to 0 as per another post for MT cars (but not sure if that is even released yet). Im on map 1 and will go log next time I can.

I was curious if thats all we need to change? No other settings to worry about for now? I have the fuel pressure plugs too on my jb4

Could it be that I was only one click off TC, back when I tried my JB4 on track? It‘s been a while since I limped my way back to the paddock. Perhaps try it again with full off and only Map 3, not the 20 psi or higher versions?

High AFR off throttle is normal, car isn't injecting any fuel while coasting.
I’ve heard that before. Thx for confirming. Since you live in MIA, if you’ve tracked yours, you ever get limp mode or reduce power with the JB4 on? I’m catless & other placebo effect items: heat exchanger, intake, exhaust, etc.

Edit: and just found this. I need to punch it and send Adam my log but I’ve been waiting to do it when it’s hot, so it will cut out.

Honestly stick with Map 1 for the track ? Less heat soak, mild top end.

Yeah all good, just FOL to 60 as well. 80 if you are running like E40. I am currently testing an entirely new additive mode that seems promising. got an MT sorted in like 2 revisions, so I'll try to keep updating here on that. the "mt mode" (boostredux=0) thing worked ok, but definitely a bandaid solution.
