Bimmerpost insider says it true. :dunno:

ynguldyn - So, I have a request for whoever has connections in the Supra circles. Please tell those guys that all that BS by Toyota engineers about 335hp being just the right amount of power for the car was just that - BS. The 385hp version (matching the US Z4 M40i) is coming. It will be sold in the U.S. and the countries not subject to Euro emissions regulations: Korea, Japan, Russia, Gulf states.

Seeing that the base car was off by like $2k, maybe that means the track version will be $59k? :dunno:

Hopefully the track Supra will have functioning vents and a wing.

Nothing in this camo'd car looks changed over the base cars we have been seeing.

Can anybody tell me, if the real change is the M1 vs the O1 engine in the base and track cars, are there any changes in the O1 engine that are true must haves in the long run?

I'm not very engine savvy, but to me it sounds like the M1 engine is the one that has been reliability tested by Toyota and the one to have if you're going to own or be doing tuning over the long run, over the O1 engine with the new cylinder heads and manifolds etc. (Unless they tested both)

The O1 is similar to the ones they have been using in cars on sale. So all current 40's from the past 3 years are all separate exhaust manifold.

Here's the thing. The Supra could take down a Vette in 1993. This new car won't even come close to doing that. Remind me again what its mission is?
Doesn't the C7 do 0-60 in 3.7 sec? C&D tested the Supra at 3.8 sec.
