Really? Go to any BMW dealership and you can easily get a Z4 of your choice. Go to a Porsche dealership and good luck walking out with a GT car. And if you are talking about the Mk4 then sure I'd agree but pretty sure both the Mk5 and new Z4 being a shared platform will be readily available. Maybe not initially as in case with the Mk5 as it's the "new hotness" but give it 6 months to a year and you will see them everywhere.

Sure. That's how it is with most performance cars. But calling it limited ala GT4/GT3 numbers or even something like a NA-1/NA-2 NSX is kinda misleading.

I see. Well yes initially it will be hard to get but after year one they will be readily available. Plus that's a good thing as you can wait for any teething problems to be ironed out and not have to pay a markup ;)

This info (relative to mules that the OP was involved with) has already been given out in earlier threads. Expect flat/low 12s

One per dealer for Toyota = roughly 1200, Porsche = roughly 200. While on paper yes it won't be any where close to as limited as those, its all relative.

Having a ‘base’ and ‘track’ trim with different tuning sounds good to me. One primarily for road use, and the other for track. Disregard the 4-cylinder and replace it with a naturally aspirated straight-6, if possible(To keep the tradition of Supras for having all inline-6 engines since 1978).

Here's the thing. The Supra could take down a Vette in 1993. This new car won't even come close to doing that. Remind me again what its mission is?

    Isn't the 992 100kg heavier?

Where are the ring times that hasn't been posted yet to my knowledge?

The 370 won't even see the Supra's taillights for long with its outdated model in sour need of an upgrade.

Moto noted it beat a 991.1s on a track like tsubasa I believe, a car in the 90-100k bracket, nearly double the corvette's price range so I am definitely confused what's your take here?

If s corvette is what you want or believe is the superior car, feel free to get one. However, for Toyota to make a car in the same price range, potentially, they have to come with something to make it worth the purchase.

Either by selling it at 48,49k to undercut the market or bump it to 400 hp at its current weight. Likely the former

Again, we only have to wait two weeks and then we can let the bitching begin if the specs are not up to par.

    Happy new Years.

Yes, but I wouldn't underestimate Porsche though, it'll probably still be faster than the 991
