Wondering who is thinking about going with the base? I have moved away from leather in AZ, not really sure I want to go back. I also don't consider Alcantara a downgrade.

Will HUD come as part of the upgraded infotainment/audio? Is that only available with the premium.

Also for those who have seen/sat in the base seats, what are your impressions?

Doesn't the base have a smaller touch screen vs premium? I would prefer the larger display, deal breaker for me being a daily driver.

Where the screen is looks distracting for me as a driver. I like the smaller screen. Base model all the way for me. Dont care for leather either

I feel the same. You can option the infotainment on base.

Im thinking of the base with the Phantom Matte Grey optional color.

However, I read that in order to get the Phantom Matte Grey option it would need to be ordered with the premium package?

Can anyone confirm?

I'm with you on this. Base w/matte grey. On the Toyota build site you can get base w/matte, we'll see how it plays out in July/August.

But what about the .6 larger rear brakes?
I think this would be very easy to upgrade to by going through the parts EPC and ordering the parts to make a DIY install.

Then again... will .6 inch larger sliding caliper rear brakes really make that much of a difference? If the rear brakes between base and fully loaded trim levels were as different as sliding single piston calipers vs dual piston calipers I'd see a bigger reason to go to the trouble.

Can anyone confirm if the HUD is available? If so, what option trim is it included with?

Also, any pics of the seats?

Iā€™m considering getting the base. For me this will be just a weekend car for fun. I donā€™t need all the other options.

Premium for me
Red and black interior at least with bigger brakes, donā€™t care of screen size in a sport weekend car
I would even go for the launch edition for the black wheels, but Iā€™m sure it will be headache to get + by no time Iā€™m sure I will change the wheels anyway
So, premium
