I set up the coding and enabled the option to disable the chirps. But it only disabled the unlock chirp. I do have it coded to auto lock when I walk away so maybe that prevents you from disabling the lock chirp? Anyone else? 23 A91MT.

There's obviously a second code somewhere. Australian cars are coded without the chirp from factory. Unless someone who knows the code drops into this thread, I'd suggest running a search both on here and on some BMW forums.

Thanks. I did try searching here but could not find anything. Good idea on the BMW forums I will try there as well.

Z4 has options for flashing and sounds both, on or off, for lock / unlock "confirmation". I looked at the Supra manual, thinking it had to be the same, but it showed only the flashing option to set, not sounds.

Yes, I was able to successfully add the checkbox to turn sounds on or off but turning them off only disables the unlock chirp, not the lock chirp, for some reason.

Mine does not chirp, I don't recall the exact steps after coding it, but in my notes this is what I changed in bimmercode:

Main > HeadUnit (HU_NBT_EVO) > Checkbox acoustical lock confirmation > Nicht_Aktiv

I don't have in my notes if I had to check / uncheck some combination of things in the settings after that. I can check later when I'm in the car to see what my settings are. With this, I only get the flashing lights for lock and unlock.

If you have the same settings, then you might be right that the other setting about auto lock effects it somehow. I do not have that one enabled.

Thanks, yes. It was that and another setting in the roof unit. It does seem maybe related to the autolock.
