Gapping corvettes you say? It's even better when it's at a track designed for them, NCM Motorsports Park. The TTU Corvette was an interior stripped c8. Hot lap video to come later. I'll have to see if any of my practice session videos from Friday have me bullying any Corvettes from behind.

The TT4 winner that weekend made note that he always knew he'd lose if you were at any of the same events ?.

Here's the fast lap on RE71RS. I put on my A7's for the morning session the next day but couldn't find any more time and wasn't driving very well. Optimal had me at 2:14.75 on the RE71RS which I'll be glad to chase. I think a 2:13.x is a nice stretch goal for me for next year.

Great! Thank you! I appreciate both you and FLTrackDays commenting and for your wisdom. Would you have recommended specs I could send my alignment shop? They are working on it tomorrow.
I run these settings:

Camber: -2.8 front, -2.4 rear
Toe: 0 Front, .30 degrees toe in total rear (.15 each side)
Caster: usually around 8 degrees but mine is closer to 9.

Just dusted off the winter cobwebs and did first track day of the year at Lime Rock on Saturday.
It was awesome to see some fellow Zupras out there as well.

@razorlab - I realized after I left the track that you may have been there in the launch edition - is that right?

Either way - some supra car porm below - with the beauties on a chilly Connecticut Saturday..

Also, great to meet another Supra owner that is also an Initial D fan!!!

I not sure if that's good or bad I got brought up lol. I really need to do NCM, it's just a 14 hour one way tow. My goal is a 12.9 in a TT4 car. One day, who knows.

Need to join the the overall safer and faster run group
Ain’t that the troof! It’s so much better knowing the guy in front of you is not going to brake check ya, give you a point by right at the apex & overall awareness what’s going on around them. Even better if you drive in a group w/out point by’s ?

It really depends on what you are expecting.

What to slam down some PB's and don't care about tire life or dying if it rains?
- Nankang CRS, Yoko A052, Bridgestone RE71RS, Falken RT660

Want to go pretty fast but not as fast as the above tires, have better tire life, want to not spend much money, but still might die if it rains?
- Kumho V730

Want to still go pretty fast, but 2 secs or more slower than the first list of tires, get good tire life, and are decent in the rain for the pace possible?
- Conti ExtremeContact Force
I hate to quote an old post but I'm just debating on tires for this year, hoping to do about 6 track days and 2-3 autox events. Kind of torn between the new RT660+ and the Vitour P1 but also considering something that will last a bit longer, which brings the V730 into contention. Speaking of the Kumho V730, does anyone have any experience with the Nexen N'Fera Sport R? Looks to be ever so slightly faster than the V730 and they are very cheap, just not sure how they hold up on a heavier car or how they tolerate multiple heat cycles.

So many good tires so IMO it comes down to which aspect is the priority. I've been really impressed with the Supercar 3 for a dual duty tire that has longevity and can run at a decent pace. I've got 8 hard days on this set and they've been incredibly consistent on pace; in fact managed a PB (by a .01 but I'll take it) on day 8. They are looking a bit rough and would be a bit happier with more negative camber up front, but they still have plenty more life to give.

I ordered a set of Vitour P1 to try at VIR in May. Hoping they live up to the recent hype, and the price is right. ?

Hi guys I have an interesting request.

I’m trying to figure out how much actual pedal force (in kg or lbs) it takes to reach full braking in the A90 Supra — as in, hitting 100% brake pressure or triggering ABS with the brake booster active.

I'm tuning my sim rig and currently have my load cell brake pedal set up to require 46 kg (101 lbs) of pressure to reach full braking input. But I realized that’s probably simulating a non-boosted system, which isn’t accurate to what the real Supra feels like.

Since the A90 uses an electro-hydraulic brake booster (BMW’s iBooster), I’m assuming the actual pedal force needed in the real car is lower maybe around 28–32 kg? But I haven’t been able to find any hard numbers, and unfortunately I don't have capability to tap into canbus to log brake pressure data.

Has anyone measured this or have a good estimate of:

How much force a driver actually applies to the pedal at full braking?
Whether 46 kg is overkill for simulating the Supra?
Any real-world data from track use or telemetry setups?

Would love to get as close as possible to the real pedal feel. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Sweeatttttttttt…. That’s cool you know & found that information. I don’t know the numbers and just drive the damn thing. But it doesn’t take a much to hit the ABS threshold. Hence why it’s good to find that point early on when starting to track her (or any car with assisted brakes for that matter). So a bit off SIM car topic but…. do you know if the brake booster can be turned off easily on our Supras without causing the computer to go grape ape? I’d love to have greater lbs of pressure for real world track application. My previous S2K track car didn’t have power steering or brakes and it was fantastic! It was also a lot lighter. So just dialing it down would probably be ideal, for this car.

I know the MX5 Cup cars were the same way. Without power assist. If you could find the info for the Supra GT4 Cup cars & what they use, I bet that would be a great sweet spot.
