Appreciate you sharing this.We recently had a few customers asking about this exact procedure so we made a quick video in the shop. Maybe helpful for those needing a visual reference.
High-temp circuit has nothing to do with the low-temp circuit.Appreciate you sharing this.
After a new Intake Manifold install, if the cold circuit was bled but the hot circuit was not, could this impact IATs during wot and overall IM performance ?
I’m aware. Completely aware, my own question makes no sense to me. But I was told this by a manufacturer and im trying to rule out all possibilities at the moment.High-temp circuit has nothing to do with the low-temp circuit.
Low-temp = Mani-cooler, heat exchanger, AC condensor
High-temp = Radiator, side aux radiators, engine cooling, oil cooling, turbo cooling.
I mean, if your engine is overheating, that could heat soak the mani-cooler, but you would have bigger issues at that point.I’m aware. Completely aware, my own question makes no sense to me. But I was told this by a manufacturer and im trying to rule out all possibilities at the moment.
Problem is my IM performance isn’t up to spec at the moment. I’m trying to rule out possible issues.I mean, if your engine is overheating, that could heat soak the mani-cooler, but you would have bigger issues at that point.
You see a 16-19F increase of IAT during a single 4th gear pull?Problem is my IM performance isn’t up to spec at the moment. I’m trying to rule out possible issues.
During 4th logs of 2K to 6.8k at 33 psi, ambient is around 60 each time im seeing 16-19f rise in IAT over baseline.
Are you saying 16-19 degrees over ambient? What is the IAT before doing the pull?Problem is my IM performance isn’t up to spec at the moment. I’m trying to rule out possible issues.

If you seeing that rise just during the pull then I'd bet youbdidnt bleed the IM enough.
Did you overfill the reservoir when tou did the bleed. Did ypu continue to over fill it after each bleed. You might have to bleed the system 3-4 times.
Youre supposed to overfill the resavior when yku do the bleed process, did you?Ambient 56
IAT before pull 71
IAT at redline during log: 88-90
The reservoir was overfilled and excess was removed to bring it down to max when complete. I did 4 cold circuit oem procedures and a vacuum bleedYoure supposed to overfill the resavior when yku do the bleed process, did you?
Can’t remember if this was already covered but you are using a 50:50 mix and you triple checked the connections aren’t reversed? The reservoir was overfilled and excess was removed to bring it down to max when complete. I did 4 cold circuit oem procedures and a vacuum bleed
Connections have been validated, coolant mix is 50:50 currently. Can’t remember if this was already covered but you are using a 50:50 mix and you triple checked the connections aren’t reversed?
Man, that is odd. Must be frustrating as hell.Connections have been validated, coolant mix is 50:50 currently.
