Yep, you're faster. When my car was stock power with just sway bars and 200tw tires, after turn in for 12 I could basically stay flat all the way to braking for 14. I was running 1:41-1:42s usually.
We moved here in 2018. I really like the area. I actually haven’t done too much with the local clubs, I usually do track stuff with Gridlife or SCCA TT and I do autocross down at ZMAX Dragway with CCR SCCA. But I’ve done a few NCCAR events with Triad I believe.Yep, you're faster.
Since you're in Apex(the peak of good living), we probably know some of the same RDU-area track folks. I lived in Raleigh from 94-04, ran with Tarheel Sports Car Club (and Triad some as well) and still have a lot of friends in the area from those days.
Gonna sound obvious and not meant to be insulting, do you roll your foot from brake to gas or use both feet (two pedal)? That stops a lot of surge. If abruptly stopping & lifting in a corner, it can definitely happen when going fast enough. It's really track dependent. If it's a long sweeper that's on power (e.g. Carolina Motorsports Park turns 12/13 leading to 14) I can get the car to fuel starve under 3/4 tank. Other tracks can be more forgiving. But I usually just keep it close to full to avoid any potential problems.
I’m guessing you’re going to be fine. Unless you really get on her with slicks on. But Chuck would know better than me @RensuhloI'm going to Barber in a couple of weeks. It will be my first track day with this car. I assume sessions are 20 minutes long? How much gas do you use in one session? I never had fuel starvation in my 2021 Miata and that was going quite fast.
Just expanding on this thought - it's not a "sudden slosh of fuel away from the pickup" that you'd get from an abrupt input, it's an "suspension all loaded up for a long time in a long high-g sweeper" situation most of the time.Gonna sound obvious and not meant to be insulting, do you roll your foot from brake to gas or use both feet (two pedal)? Barber is my favorite. You *WILL* fuel starve after t3 going up the hill. It's like Thanos, inevitable. Just keep your tank topped off every session and have fun. I haven't gone this year, and don't have plans to. I'm trying to venture out to new tracks.I'm going to Barber in a couple of weeks. It will be my first track day with this car. You should be fine over the course of a session. If you do experience any fuel issues just keep it topped up. I don’t left foot brake. I have been learning on the street and on the sim but I haven’t built the granularity and muscle memory up enough to feel comfortable on track. And I have stock dampers so having a bit of “delay” baked into the inputs gives the car some time to settle too. I’d eventually like to be able to LfB because it would help me in autocross quite a bit.Gonna sound obvious and not meant to be insulting, do you roll your foot from brake to gas or use both feet (two pedal)? But I doubt it’s that since you (and many others) have lots of experience. And I haven’t been to Road Atlanta, Barber or VIR in this car. So it must be track dependent. I need to go faster & get it to happen to me, down here in flatLandia. That’ll be a work in progress next season. Until I break something else… ? ?
Practice makes perfect. You’ll be there in no time! Get Ethan to ride with you. He a good kid & used to drive with some of the best at Sick Sideways (former race team). If you really want to fast track it (so to speak) after that - you can checkout someone like Nathanial Sparks (link below) or Glen McGee, to name a few. Tell them I said hi ??. My real name ofc, lol.

My car is at the dealer for this specific reason. It happened to me for the first time on a wet day where I wasn’t driving with the TC all the way off.Anyone ever have this happen? This was a longer session, maybe 25mins but it wasn't hot ~75°F ambient. I was driving hard for most of the session. This was the last session of the day, I parked the car and 45mins later when I went to drive home the message was obviously gone.
I do change my rear diff fluid at the start of each season but wondering if I should be doing it even more frequently? Only 2 track days this year so far, with another 3-4 planned.

Barber has regular fuel pumps at the track, right? Several different octanes and takes a credit card to pump your own?Barber is my favorite. You *WILL* fuel starve after t3 going up the hill.
