I know this is a very specific scenario. But anyone with MT and catted dp go from JB plus to JB4 on 91 octane? Is it worth the switch?

yeah of course, like a log review or custom map?
Thank you very much.

Both if it makes sense?

JB4 is in the mail, new Pro Adapter.

For following:

93 Fuel (Basically no E85 in my state, 7 Locations in the entire state)
AA DP & M Performance Exhaust
XHP Stage 3
BMS Intake

I went jb+ to JB4 with catless dp. It was worth it for me since I wanted to e blend.

For you, the main benefit would be viewing your logs.

Would there be a difference in power on 91? Could it “tune” more power than JB+ with a dp? I ask because based on their gains on map 1 in the video, whp is about the same as a JB plus but an additional 30 wheel torque, which seems worth it to me. But not sure if they “tuned” for power instead of tuned for safety, which may decrease power.

If I’m not going to run E, would there be any benefit in getting the fuel pressure sensor?

Would the general B58 JB4 come with the updated P158 firmare?

agree with @ZeroNegativeOne . JB+ is fine to keep if you are on 91. Just keep it around the halfway mark or lower on the knob.

No fuel pressure connection needed without e blending typically. Yes new devices come with P158 already on em. JB4s biggest benefit for you would be the logging and safeties it comes with.

91 ACN is so limiting, you may get some decent torque gains but not much hp over stock.

Also yes I did see a difference going JB+ to JB4 because I went catless and it was horrible with the JB+. JB4 can control the wastegate and compensate for the dp. (ie. no overboosting)

Colonel, how much more E can you safely run with the fuel pressure upgrade on the ATs?

Its kind of map dependent, but under 3 gal per tank is fine (<~E25)

If you aren't sure, start with 2 gal and watch trims. aim to keep under 45.

yessir, feel free to send a log for review anytime. See if its still as good as it can be. E20-25 is a good spot without the upgrade.

Based on your experience, how much psi over stock can be done on JB4 with 91 octane? Thanks!

I’m still running that custom map 6 on e30 from the last time you helped me with the logs. So far so good.

Might try to upgrade the board with the fuel pressure sensor in the future.
