Well apart from the lead time for production, it also depends on your dealer. He shouldn't be allowed to give you your car before he and his employees have completed their Supra training. This is supposed to take place in August.

Customer cars for the central Europe (including Germany ^^ ) were set for production in June/July time frame. But in regards to Magna's production capacity this might got pushed back some weeks/months...
Germany specific for the production date was the edition (A90 or "normal") and the date the contract was put into Toyota's ordering system. Therefore since most (but not all) of the A90s were ordered before February, those should be produced and delivered first.

For what it's worth: Last time I checked (last week), my 3.0 Premium was not marked as produced, but had a delivery date of 07/16 (next week). Can't really believe this date is true, but even it is...

... the Supra specific training is mandatory for dealerships. The cars might even be blocked by Toyota Germany, if the dealership is not trained.
That said, the more or less official sales will start in September, but there might be some cars delivered to customers earlier.

Considering I can clearly see my new Supra on the horizon... the wait is killing me right now. ^^

The Cayman is much more in insurance because of those high repair costs in case of an accident and because of the high theft rate.
Wish that was true. Just checked. The rates for Supra are significantly higher.

The Supra is rated higher than the C7 Stingray, Cayman(all engines) and Z4 M40i....

Here the German insurance classification:

Haftpflicht 17 (Cayman 13, M40i 13)
Teilkasko 27 (Cayman 26, M40i 23)
Vollkasko 27 (Cayman 26, M40i 22)

Fortunately already included in the msrp. Glad Germany doesn’t have any additional government tax like in the Netherlands and e.g. some Nordic countries which can be another 20-25%.

Just a little update from my side:
My red premium got its VIN in the system. After checking on the VIN the production date was 2019-06-19. June/July time frame was spot on.
The only problem: it does not have a delivery date and the dealer car got pushed back again, but will arrive in the coming weeks.

So... since mine is built and assuming nothing is damaged on the way from Austria to Germany, delivery in September seems very likely at the moment.

This privileged group of owners will not only have Toyota’s pure sports car at their fingertips, they’ll also be joining the Supra 900 Club. As members, they will have access to exclusive content, rewards and experiences in the build-up to delivery.

:dunno:
What access :hmm:
