As a 2020 owner at 14k miles my pump is thankfully still good. I am curious how many other 2020 owners or early 21 have the same oem oil pump and is still working, if so what mileage?

i have 02/2020 build 2021 and mine hasn’t been able to read oil since i think I purchased the car which had about 20k miles already on it. I just hit 50k with it and getting it finally replaced with Toyota since the warranty has now ended.

Kind of sucks for me since I got extended warranty on the car and it’s completely tune from trans to engine. I’d have to pay the pretty price of about $2600 at a well known local shop one day.

@Speed Logic in OC did mine for $1,600. They can get it done in a business day. Replaced mine for peace of mind and issues with maintaining oil pressure on track.

A simple search is all you had to do, and they’re a sponsor of the forum. They’re well regarded and endorsed by several members here…

Was unable to read oil level since the day I got the car (~23,000 when bought) - CEL, limp mode, and oil pump codes at ~31,500 at which point I replaced it.

Paid right at $2,000 from a 3rd party shop, smooth sailing since.

Yes, it's my daily
There was talk of the cold temps possibly having something to do with it since the adjuster ring is plastic. Just being too brittle. This makes that much less plausible.

And the chance of me choosing all season tires much more right. 😁

2021 with 81k miles. Been driving it for past 5 years even in winters. Checked oil level other day with no issues, and have done 25+ track days in last 2 years.
Not sure on my build date, but I took delivery in December of 2020.
Might start buying parts to add to list of maintenance to do next summer with OFHG/coolant hoses/water pump.

2020 here…… My oil pump took a crap a few months ago. I’m out of the 5 year warranty. Dealer wanted $5500 to replace and alignment .
I asked 3 dealers for a goodwill repair since the car has 20k miles. No luck.
If you’re still under the 5 year, get it replaced under warranty.
Going the independent shop way for repair…
