That was their choice though. They are big boys. Don't step into the kitchen if you can't handle the heat....of course there was going to be (legal) retaliation since they were taking business away from other people....and I wouldn't be surprised if BMW threatened a lawsuit for the IP

This is good, now hopefully in a couple of weeks or months we can get a concrete solution to Post 2020 DME unlock stateside or for cheaper international. I remember there was a guy who kept saying an unlock was coming and I thought he was a schizo

I don’t know about their website claim that dealer updates don’t affect their unlock. No other bench unlock is immune right? Someone take one for the team and test it.

Noob question. I've read a couple things about unlocks and tuning but still having trouble completely grasping the process. One must 1st, get the DME unlocked via AT or Femto. I can safely reinstall and drive the car if needed. Once I am ready to tune, I purchase my preffered tuning platform, and this is installed stateside? Any other steps I'm missing?
