General udpates:

ride height fixed (brakes look hnnnng)

Racebred reached out said my splitter is done but they won't be able to ship until the 29th. Works for me. Already have the Professional Awesome rods/hardware and titanium skid blocks with me. In the meantime i have some new things to try out in the coming days:
- aerodiscs made for my wheels (rears only obv)
- vortex generators, along the sides of the roof though not what you'd usually see across
- Much larger wing endplates made for my APR wing by Singular Motorsports


have 3 events planned:
- 29th Dec track day (goal is to test the patched pure800 turbo, new tune and hopefully set a class record)
- 2nd Jan AutoX
- 17th Jan race day.


The race on the 17th is on the GP circuit @ Yas Marina. Absolutely beautiful track and layout

Will be the full layout. 2 long straights.

Just curious, how much does it cost to run track events at a GP circuit in the middle East?

My thought is that it's either super expensive if it's a for-profit facility, or it might be like The (golf) Masters at Augusta National, where they have "fuck you money" and pretty much give away food to the peasants

For Yas Marina GP layout it's a little over $200.

They also have a "premium" track day experience (that's Dubai for ya) for people with fuck you money. It's about $800, although tbh i think it's good value when you look at what you get:

7 hours of open pit lane lap time. With your own garage, and concierge services. Now that i'm typing that, i think......i think i want to try that.

$800 is a deal for that. I've spent close to that for just 4 hours open track here.

This place here in NY costs $850+ for just normal 4 session track days. It's generally not open to the public so gotta pay to play. Great track but between that absurd entry fee, plus insurance... It's a bit out of reach for most.

That track/backdrop looks biuriful. oof.....

The one thing i don't like about most american tracks is the surface. I know not all of them are like this, but man so many of your tracks are so bumpy. Ours are silky smooth. I'd imagine bumpy tracks are quite harsh on the car, especially the suspension components. But it also makes things a bit more unpredictable and even dangerous, even when you know the track. new shit pops up etc... Doesn't rain too much here either, so that helps keep things nice.

The local tracks here both host international races, so they can't afford to not be in perfect condition year round.

Depends on the track and region for sure. West coast tracks are pretty smooth overall. North East Coast has to deal with such sweeping temps, snow, and rain. So they get beat up more.
