You're welcome. It seems like the only way to get louder is to eliminate the cat, with or without a downpipe change. Many of the Supra owners here have done this. Their cars are extremely loud.
I’m sure you can make the car significantly louder than stock even without going catless. The stock exhaust has a huge muffler. Aftermarket exhausts should theoretically be much louder. Not quite sure how the dinan barely sounds louder than stock.

Barely a difference at high rpm with stock open valve vs. Dinan closed vs. Dinan open. I don't have this exhaust but based on the videos I've seen it should be much louder than stock with the valves open no? Especially given its has no muffler with the valves open.

Borla is way louder outside the car with valves open and its the same basic design.
People (like my wife) have mentioned that it is noticably louder than stock (Sport mode). I noticed, instantly that the pops are louder. When I exit my neighborhood (cold engine), I like the increased sound level in normal mode. Once the engine is warmed up, I switch to sport after a short highway run. I live in a large city, so aggravating the police is not difficult to do.

True, but in Sport mode, it's essentially a straight pipe. My guess is that the stock exhaust routing bypasses the more restrictive path through the massive muffler when in Sport mode.
Ideally, your town has Supra gatherings where you can listen to various setups.

Magnaflow X-Mod always seems to be left out. I’m running it with straight through on both ends. I like it because it’s modular and I can always quiet one or both sides down with a simple swap

Not a Corvette.

Just because you can't overcome your ignorance doesn't make it true.

Bloke.. AWE is the answer. Your foot is the valve. Nothing else comes close for sound, unless you like Japanese Civic rasp.
I really do like the way AWE sounds, but even if the valve actually doesn't do much, it would bug me that the OEM system was valved but my aftermarket isnt. Almost like I'm paying more for one less feature. It's just a personal preference for me. If AWE made a valved exhaust, I wouldn't even be considering anything else.

AWE touring but its non valved.
Valved I'd say Borla.

Other valved choices: Ark Performance, Dinan, HKS, MBRP, AFE, Akrapovic. I still think Borla will be the most aggressive.

Can help you with either.

I took recordings before and after replacing my OEM catback. Pretty sizable difference in volume with OEM downpipe still in place. However, I don’t think most valved catbacks are 3.5” like the one I ended up with. So that probably makes a difference here.

Also, I’d steer clear of Dinan. Their parent company Holly is absolutely horrible. Fought with them to get my money back on a lost shipment (Dinan catback). Ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
