Interesting how the Supra was placed below the GT350 again
I don't think I have seen a review that picks the base Cayman over the Supra. This is a big win for the Supra considering one of their stated goals was to benchmark against the Cayman. Is C&D the first to pick the Supra over the Cayman in a review? I remember others where the rankings were reversed, so it's obviously subjective, but I would expect Toyota marketing to be all over this if they want to stay consistent on their messaging.
Exactly, it's about more than just performance numbers. A base Cayman is a reasonably light ( or at least not obscenely overweight) fixed-roof mid-engined sports car for semi/almost reasonable $$$, which puts it into consideration for me.Maybe because the Supra is my first sports car I'm biased, but I really don't see why anyone would buy a Cayman unless you were going for the GT4 (I have a nearby neighbor that has a GT4 and I concede, it's a great car, but in a totally different price bracket). Then again, most people probably don't put too much stock into these comparisons, as buying a sports car is much more than just the numbers.
