That’s badass. More powerband would be sick. 2021 > 2020New article about the 2021 Supra

I just rewatched Joe Raiti's review of the 2021. Redline looks indeed the same lol.thats complete speculation. the power increase is from raising the boost up top and reducing the taper, i can almost guarantee that.
My rotary redlines at 9500 RPM. There's no car short of an Italian Exotic that sounds better lol. That’s badass. More powerband would be sick. 2021 > 2020

Agreed 100% the premium wheels are HIDEOUS. They either need powder coated or replaced. The all black LE looks good. The 2.0 wheel would be good for a winter set. Of all things they should have copied, the M steering wheel is definitely one they should have lol. Much prettier.Higher rpms and more power. All they need is better looking wheels for premium and they will be set. And better steering wheel. That’s a given to trade in a 2020. Lol
Aren't there M340i/Z4 dynos out there that can definitively figure this out, anyway? Because it's the same engine, it's going to be *extremely* similar. Like, a quick Google search led me here: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1638852 . Wouldn't that be fairly indicative of what the new B58 will do in the Supra?
Below 4500~5000 rpm there is basically no difference in performance (see torque specs) between 2020 and 2021...Clearly all the hp increase is in the upper powerband....
Dyno numbers themselves don't mean anything. Each reads different.Aren't there M340i/Z4 dynos out there that can definitively figure this out, anyway? (I have no real idea if that's actually representative of the B58M30O1, it's just the first I've found and I'm confused why we're speculating as opposed to just finding the data, which theoretically should be out there, right?)
That makes sense, thanks!Dyno numbers themselves don't mean anything. Each reads different.
The only way to accurately compare them is to strap a stock 2020 to a dyno, then immediately a stock 2021 on the same dyno. Same temps, humidity, altitude, everything.
A 2020 dyno'd in Kentucky in November is going to read different than a 2020 dyno'd in Arizona in July.
It's the difference between the 2 that matters, and you can only do that back to back on the same dyno.
