well winter is finally over and I was able to get the clutch put in … took a little over 2 hrs with some help and a lift so not a terribly hard job! First impressions: The pedal is noticeably stiffer not not so bad that my leg is going to be tired after driving it all day, the engagement is good very little chatter of any at all. Pedal engages at a good height and it grabs hard on fast shifts! … I’m gonna drive it a bit before I give it any extra power over stock but so far I’m happy with it !
Do you know of any step-by-step clutch R&R online for the Supra? Written or video.

Nice hope you're enjoying your new clutch. How is the clutch pedal effort so far? do you need to press the clutch pedal to the end to shift gears or is it like OEM clutch pedal effort 'half travel'?
and for the chattering, I used MOTUL gear competition 75W-140 when I had CM fx1000 and I barely can hear chattering and I'm still using the same gear oil with PTB clutch.

Don’t buy this diamond claw upgrade that they sell you on … it doesn’t work with our cars

I bought it already and they brought the wrong one. Clutch Masters emailed me, they said we mispackaged it. That's why it doesn't work with our cars.

Thanks! It looks straight forward. Hope I never have to replace mine. Only 600 miles on it so far. But if I do one day, I have a lift, I have the tools, and the knowledge. Just getting a little old it will be just a little slower. I just thought I'd ask in case there is anything out of the ordinary that I need to know.

Yeah. Getting old sucks. I’m almost 70 and still do all work on my car. replaced sway bars, front cv axles on my 98 gsx and now have bursitis in my shoulders from awkward wrenching and just getting up and down off the effing floor. But that still won’t stop me from working on my cars.

How much stiffer over stock would you guess? Wondering since my Supra is a daily

Also, does the clutch have a long take up like stock (ie - catches early and still slips until off clutch completely)?

I’d say 30% stiffer and yes has a fair amount of play before it grabs … it does grab a bit harder tho so leaving on a hill is a little harder if you don’t use the assist

Much to my dismay clutch master just emailed me back and said “FX400 is rated at 500 ft.lbs street driving” soooo this is very disheartening … I’ll be giving it the beans soon enough so we shall see
