Just purchased a 2021 A91 with 20k miles - 2nd owner. Bimmercode was used to change some of the settings (no legal warnings, etc.). The car was purchased from a dealer who did not have any information on this and no ODBC plugin device that would (perhaps) have a backup of what was changed? Not sure about the backup - just starting to research Bimmercode. Question - is there a way to reset all the settings back to default? Either through Bimmercode (my ODBCLink MX+ is coming this week) or through the system settings???

TIA

If it hasn't had the recall or the most recent update done... then having that done would reset almost everything to factory settings (as well as re-lock your ECU if it's unlocked... so head's up on that).

For Bimmercode, you'd need to have the original settings backed up to restore them - so in your case you'd just have to go through and change them manually. Unless they really went wild, most will be covered in the guides on here - just do the reverse on any that you want restored to factory settings.

Just to add to this. There are a handful of things that can be reset back to factory in the map, but a lot of things require the original backup.

thanks - According to NHTSA, they don't show a recall for my VIN so I assume if it had the brake issue it's been taken care of. That being said - I am trying to find out how to tell flash level of my ECU. I've downloaded the guide so I'll go through those - thanks!

Thanks - I have to go to the local dealer to see about ordering a spare key/fob - car is still under warranty so I am going to ask about getting ECU flashed. Thanks!
