Notice the fins on the driver's side cover have 4 to indicate it's a 4 cyl vs the 6cyl which has 6 fins. ;):hmm:

That’s good, though I hope they could have put more Supra branding onto the engine cover.

For me,
4 cylinder Supra is
6 cylinder Supra is

Like the render that had the Supra emblem on the cover. That would have been cool.

The Z4 2.0L got good reviews here at Thermal. Toyota just had to roll with both versions since that’s what the Z4 was going to offer. So much for halo car.

It makes less HP then the 86 though. I don't laugh at 4 bangers since I had a built GSR back in the days. Shoot, even a 4cyl turbo engines are awesome. I just don't expect to pay a premium for one.
I'd like to see the WHP before i reply to you about the less hp then the 86 :hmm::flame:

Also that 100++lbs of torque on low rpms more than the 86,and that's for the lowest spec Supra

Yes, definitely cool with Supra emblem

Hmm...well, previous generations of Z4’s had I4 so it’s still ok to have it now. Unlike the Supra, which was released as a performance-oriented version of the Celica. Supra tradition = I6. It should be the Celica that should receive the I4.

Well it's forced induction.

Sure, but we're talking production vehicles here. In 1993, Toyota had balls. In 2019, they have an identity crisis and are still trying to figure out which bathroom to use.

That should have been the case but it's BMW's parts bin with BMW's rules.

I'd say putting an non in house engine in your resurrected sports cars takes a lot of balls

found this on our sister forum. with safety option the 2.0 is almost the same as the base 3.0

Correct. I think, I have rant bout this (somewhere). In Japan, there are 3 options.
SZ - 2.0L w very basic Minimal options
SZ-R - 2.0L w almost all the options from RZ
RZ - 3.0L w all the options

Now I’m US, base model 3.0 have Japan’s SZ-R options. Due to that, US ver 2.0 gets short end of the stick plus they didn’t want to give buyer much debate in options for Supra other than base model 3.0 or Premium 3.0. If you get safety option 2.0 added, you can almost get base model 3.0. How sad is that? No e-dif, brembos nor e-suspension, only for pointless safety options for price of 3.0...

If you want to compare pricing, I have the ones of Belgium (Europe):

2.0 B48 -> Starts at 49990 Euro
Metallic color is 900 Euro
Premium pack is 3320 Euro
  • Wireless charging
  • Heads-up display
  • JBL premium sound with 12 speakers
  • Black leather seats
Black Supra would cost 54210 Euro

3.0 B58 -> Starts at 65500 Euro
Metallic color is 900 Euro
Premium pack is 2300 Euro
  • Wireless charging
  • Heads-up display
  • JBL premium sound with 12 speakers
  • Black leather seats
Black Supra would cost 68700 Euro

Difference between full spec 3.0 & 2.0 = 14490 Euro
Difference between base 3.0 & 2.0 = 15510 Euro

The 2.0 is still a high price for a Toyota.
If you can afford around 55K Euro for a new car...I think people here would rather buy a BMW/Audi/Mercedes.
  • No clue if the 2.0 would be a lot more popular compared to the 3.0 when looking at the price.

P.S.:
Prices are including VAT.
Also we do not have markups.

Off course, you still need to pay yearly road taxes etcetera based on co2-level :)
