I’ve only driven it with the 75-140 and it runs and drives as expected. Honesty I don’t think anyone would notice unless you told them you had the heavier weight in there.

Instead of making a new thread I thought I'd reply to this one. I got under my car tonight, took a couple pictures, and have a question:

First, the aero tray under the transmission is secured with ten 10mm fasteners.

Second, I found two plugs that I think are the fill and drain plugs. Circled in red in the pictures below. What I think is the drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission and what could be the fill plug is on the passenger side of the transmission. My 5/16ths allen wrench fit but I think 8mm would be the best fit.

Can anyone confirm that these are actually the manual transmission fill & drain plugs?

Edit 10/14/24 - The Supra's manual transmission is a ZF GS6-45BZ unit. It appears like that transmission has been used in BMW cars in the past 6-7 years or so and transmission fluid change videos for those vehicles indicate those are the fill and drain plugs.

Bumping this old thread to post some tips I can share from my attempt.

There is a heat shield that makes it a bit hard to put in a regular wrench if you don't have a short 8mm head. The plastic bolts are soft so be careful. They are 10mm sockets, and I used a wobble extension to not have to push the exhaust too much.

Removing that gave me more room to fit a regular wrench as well as a torque wrench.

I used just around 1.5 liters to fill. The torque specs are 32 lb/ft for the fill / drain bolts.

What fluid did you use?

No gaskets
Odd, just metal on metal?

I feel like every plug I've ever touched on any BMW underneath has always had a green O-ring gasket (aside from engine oil drain and the copper washer). You are correct here that no gasket is included but it makes me ask if it's just metal to metal that they are relying on to prevent a leak?

Example, but which is NOT the part for a Supra, only for discussion / illustration: https://www.bimmerworld.com/Driveli...-Screw-Plug-With-Gasket-Ring-23117531356.html
