No. All ZF 8hp transmissions shift in ~200ms. The 76 is nothing special. Have fun wasting your time for nothing, little boy.No way a 51 can match that. Only the 76 can do that.

Then why does xhp advertise dct level shifting speeds for the 8hp76 maps while the 51 maps don't mention that.No. All ZF 8hp transmissions shift in ~200ms. The 76 is nothing special. Have fun wasting your time for nothing, little boy.![]()
I had a little hope it wouldnt go this way...This thread is going pretty much how I thought it would.
It's the internet. It will naturally go opposite of what you ask. Why ask if you were just going to attempt anyways.I had a little hope it wouldnt go this way...
It's going towards the direction i explicitly said i didnt give a F about.
Oh well.
I will update this thread with my progress if anyone cares to hear...
I have bought the transmission!!
Workin with xHP to get a custom map and then will do the install myself.
If i had a hoist the job would be easier...fuck me dead.
Nothing a few beers wont fix ?

Goes through the whole list of tools but the tool he really needs are some nail clippers.jesus fuck.....yea it is.
Looks pretty straight forward ?. Pcb boards and soldering is my work background so it's nothing.jesus fuck.....yea it is.
If they don't, you can flash the S58 M3 CSL TCU software, or any of S58 car that has an HP76 via E-SYS. It'll probably work fine.As long as xHP can create the custom code successfully for my vehicle itll be fine.
If they can't then im stuck ???.
You don't need to touch the mechatronics unit PCB to install it onto another BMW. It's quite literally plug-and-play in terms of installation, unless you're going with an external TCU like the HTG/TurboLamik/Maxx.Looks pretty straight forward ?. Pcb boards and soldering is my work background so it's nothing.
Thank god for not having to bypass the TCU to use a standalone. In Europe there are plenty gen 1 b58 which swapped the 8hp50 for the 8hp70 since you find the 70/75/76 in diesels over here(more torque). Afaik it was pretty straight forward, for going from 50 to 70 you need the 70 flywheel and you need to modify the downpipe bracket. Im very interested in what you are doing since I can get a 76 for cheap here in Europe, let us know how it is going on
edit: some more info here on the 70 swap

Or here’s a crazy idea… just build the 8HP51 that’s already sitting inside the car, instead of giving yourself an aneurysm with TCU and coding headaches.keep us updated i might also be going this route
