Everything gets marked up. The CTR was, the new one will be, the new WRX/STI will be, the Cayman GT4 is, the GT4 RS will be, and on and on and on. As long as there are dumbasses willing to pay, they'll do it.
Right, that was exactly my point lol.

The fun in this is the post on that site noted above - Z Forum thinking we are all now selling our faster, lower with wider tires cars for something heavier, taller, with less than optimal tires for grip given the horsepower they are advertising. Thats before anyone tunes their Supra.

Oh and for a car that is a re-skinned 370Z to begin with that has the front end of a teenager who looks like they are wearing braces LOL :) :)

Still interested in seeing the final product overall and testing it but on noted specs its not what i would want in a sportscar. Nissan has stated its a GT. So in essence its an Infiniti coupe.

Outside of potential pricing and individual preference of looks(I prefer Supra) it's hard to see where the Z has an advantage especially if Toyota does offer the manual(I'd still keep the 8spd) in 2023.

I think you pretty much covered it. The price is attractive and the looks are subjective, but other than that there's no advantage. Even though I'm willing to spend $60k on a Nismo model, it has everything to do with owning Nissans and Z's in the past and an affection for them, and nothing to do with thinking that it will outperform a Supra.

I've just been waiting on another TT Z to come along for a while now and want something a little different after owning an N54 for the last 7-8 years, which I'm keeping. The Z won't stay stock for long but I also won't go too crazy with it either while under warranty, and if I really care to play with Mk5's then my 335i (when healthy ??) probably has a better chance at giving them a run for their money than the new Z will.

Someone is getting fired. ?
She was probably thinking about the current Z.
At the rate, the GR Corolla will probably go on sale before even the Z does lol. What is Nissan even trying to achieve by being so vague and wishy-washy about all the important details of their Z? Embarrassed by the fact that there's so little changes and improvements done to the chassis that they can't even give it a new chassis code? Wouldn't that also mean in the vehicle registration the 'new' Z will appear to be the same generation as the 370Z even though it's being marketed as a new generation of the Z?

I think don't any reasonable person thinks the Z34 2.0 will destroy the J29. However, it's cheaper and it's good to have options to pick from.

The 370Z had a 55F / 45R balance and a base curb weight of 3330 lbs. The extra 150+ lbs of the new Z, I'm assuming went mostly to the front which would be an even more horrible balance for a FR sports car. I have a feeling if that's the case it will be very front heavy and understeer prone which was a criticism some said about the 370z. I understand that a driver shifts the balance more rearward but it can't be by much unless the driver weighs 400 lbs. I can't wait to see the reviews on this car

I like the idea of having a 400lb driver to make the Z less front heavy, but at that point the cross weight and power to weight ratio are going to be so messed up it will most likely lose to the GR Supra even more ?.

If everyone is going to compare it to the Supra in specs and performance, then Nissan is going to make damn sure it's priced comparably too.
