I like how it’s 95% like the Z Proto. I love when carmakers make the production car look almost identical to the concept. Also, the unveiled cars (yellow and blue) looked longer and lower than the proto….which is super nice. Will have to see one in person, but so far…looks the part.

That is literally the worst part about Subaru. Makes awesome concepts, the Viziv WRX/STI looked fantastic, and we're getting another boring AWD Corolla lookalike.

I have a feeling the Hp numbers will be overrated. It will probably put down 345 at the wheels. Which isn’t bad if the weight is less than 3500lbs.

“A Supra killer?” ? Yeah good luck with that phrase.

Can yet to be released cars be the answer? 400z. Its a reskinned 370z with 50 more horsepower for more money (it’s looking like at least $10k more). Everyone is losing their minds over it but the almost identical (sans engine) 370z is never mentioned or brought up anymore. Why all the hype?

In early 2000 my highschool friend got a new 350Z I got a used mkiv Supra turbo six speed…. I’d say I made the better choice unless you think a new Nissan is that much better….

I mean, Toyota isn’t a champ at it either….and neither are 80% of car makers. With the MK5, Toyota literally did the opposite of Nissan with the new Z. Only three cars I know of that have recently successfully implemented a production car damn near the same as the concept; Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, and the Nissan Z.

To be fair, the Supra concept would've cost NSX money if they released it like that, with hydraulic wing etc. Maybe that was the idea, but poor NSX sales made them go "cheap". Who knows.

Nissan is also saying they're not chasing numbers which leads me to believe the Z isn't going to be a Supra killer.

This guy bashes the Supra so much…

ThatDudeinBlue has always represented the fanboy portion of the car scene, the people who think the A80 is a 500hp car, RX7s were the pinnacle of lightweight sports cars etc. He’s 30 and still has that teenager vibe, like he almost takes the fast and furious as gospel.

This car will be born into an already maturing aftermarket; what it makes stock is going to be largely irrelevant to those of us that are willing and able to turn a wrench and drive.
