I just did coding on my 2023 this week. Everything seems to work normally.

I did Sport plus and start/stop memory codings.

Turned off all the warning things, ASD, and M head-unit animation for a laugh.

I used the CX

Hi all, first post. I experienced a strange anomaly using Bimmercode. My GR Supra is an August 2023 build, MT, I6 Turbo, Australia destination (RHD), top spec (GTS), have had it for just over 1 month.

I purchased Bimmercode just to make the ASS memory active. Followed Bimmercode (v4.21.9-11493) instructions precisely (Android 14 phone, OBDLink CX adapter with latest FW, used the Supra option not BMW Z4, basic not expert), ASS memory feature works perfectly. I did look at what else was available and Bimmercode would have read the control units and made backups, but I made no changes or saved anything, just went back each time (Stephan from Bimmercode confirmed readonly access does not change any settings in the ECU's).

For whatever reason I don't know (and even Stephan from BC can't explain), after coding ASS memory active, some features have been deactivated and they are:
- ASD (my car doesn't make any fake noise anymore which I actually like)
- the unlock/lock chirp gone (tick box option in iDrive headunit is not there)
- the seat belt warning chimes gone i.e. the annoying ones the car makes when you get in. Note: it does come on when I'm driving and unbuckle the seat belt buckle

These are the ones I am aware of, there could be more as I become familiar with the BMW technology and features, seems to be a "sounds" theme going on here.

I did a recovery but it made no difference.

Anyone else experience this?

I got another set of track wheels. No TPMs this time. Can I code that out?

Not sure! I'd have to check, sorry!
Hola ?? Colonel! Old thread got tagged. But I do have an update.
Found out the car has less tire warnings/ issues without the TPMs installed. And no longer using brake pad sensors (thx to Bryan/Razor & Bob/Rock) has made this car so much more enjoyable, for me, one less thing to worry about or mess with…

Actually, yes & no

ASD - It appears it was always on but because the MT version is so quiet, I thought it may have been turned off. I confirmed by turning off ASD with BC, it sounds quieter than a Camry, it sounds shit with ASD off.

The unlock/lock chirp gone - it probably was never there but I thought it was when I picked up the car, I used BC to turn it on.

The seat belt warning chimes gone - this was definitely turned off compared to the state my car was in when I first picked it up, 100% sure about that. I used BC to turn on the initial warning chime that comes on when first turn car on, the other annoying ones I left off.

I believe the lock/unlock chirp is unavailable by default on the Australian delivered cars. It was definitely not present for me on delivery. I've left it off for now.

Agree with the ASD, for a manual car it sounded better with it on. With ASD off I could barely hear exhaust noise and was having to look at the tacho to shift. But I've kept the ASD off as I've fitted a catback. With a stock exhaust I probably would have left ASD on.

What Catback did you go with? Im looking at the dual muffler HKS and it appears you can still utlilise the valve and its got proven dyno gains apparently?

My bro is running an Akrapovic, which also uses the valve. I'd heard it in person and it was still too quiet for me so I took a gamble on straight pipe and valveless. From what I've read the valve doesn't seem to do much on Australian cars.

I ordered an RK Titanium Track Single Exit which arrived before I picked up the car. I then drove the car a couple of times, found it far too quiet, and the new exhaust was on a week later. It's a good level of noise, probably about the same as my previous H-piped Mustang in normal mode.

Best advice is to try and listen to a few in person before you order. Hopefully you'll be able to find a few local cars you can listen to being in a big city.
