Not sure if the 2023 is the same as the 2021 but mine has a couple of tabs that keep it in place. If i remember correctly - you pull the side of the upper cover (the side facing the engine) out a little and then up - but don't quote me on the positioning - I do it by feel at this point so I'm not sure of the placement - I can check in the morning.....
Thanks, After you said there were tabs, I looked and saw that you pull out on the long ends.

Awesome - are you going to permanently attach the charging rings from the CTEK? I did and used the ground from the bolt to the left of the postive factory post - works like a charm!

Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, I'm also doing CTEK rings

I have elected to trickle charge mine from the rear battery area. I just leave the cables attached (safely sealed off with provided caps) and plug in when stored for the winter.

See photos below of my mounting points.

~ hereā€™s mine above but hardwired with an extended ā€˜connect and chargeā€™ cord. now creating a simple plug and play each winter.

I did the same but from the front - have the short connection rings permanently attached and the short lead attached zip tied next to intake, drop the extended connect down through the engine bay. I also found that i can run the extended connect across the rubber seal between the car and the hood and then down the outside of the car in the crease between the wheel well apron and fender. It the hood to rubber seal does not pinch when I close the hood fully. Have the CTEK mounted to side of garage and can pull in and hook up. Cool to see the various ways folks come up with!

My install was a little different thean previous ones. I tapped in the same locations shared for the hard wire but routed to the location the washer hoses come out of the hood. Very discrete and easy to get to. Install was fairly simple once I figured out the routing. The plug I used works with most tenders but those with ctek can use the adapter shown if desired. The cover should be rainproof but I may cover with plastic because I'm a little ocd.

Got a ctex 5.0 from Santa today. Real simple to setup and use. I usually drive the Supra once or twice a week, with 100+miles drives. But here in northern Arizona don't drive it to much during the winter. We've been in the teens at night, and low thirties these past few weeks during the day. Took the Supra for a good ride today being 64 degrees today. Took her for a long trip October, bout a 1,000 miles. It was a great drive hitting some areas at a buck fifty five. Overall it was very comfortable for a 6'2" driver. The Supra will be 2 years old April 2nd. I truly enjoy driving it. Happy happy to all.

I like this setup - Going to go out end of the week (when the weather gets warmer) and take a look at how the windshield washer fluid hose is routed - any tips on what to look for, etc.?? Thx

Sorry, but just one quick question. Hooked up my CTEK today and my car will be in hibernation (Northern Ohio) until spring. Can I just leave the unit plugged in or do I need to unplug periodically? I think itā€™s fine to leave it powered up, but just want to confirm. Thanks!

In a video I watched a while back they said some infotainment and dash circuitry actually stay on until you lock the vehicle; only then all circuitry shuts off.
This must be the case because while I garage my A90 & A91 Iā€™ve never ran a trickle or tender and Iā€™ve had no issues even if not driven for a couple months. I could see this being much more of an issue for a car in the direct elements but I always lock my cars inside the garage and they fire up like clockwork even with extended periods of not being used.

Did not know! Thx for sharing man šŸ˜®. I have noticed sometimes my lights stay on, when I turn off the car, for an extended period of time (way longer than normal). And I have to hit the lock button. Itā€™s an intermittent thing. Iā€™ll always lock it in my garage for now on!!

Also in SWFL itā€˜s hot, humid and salty. So our batteries never last. The battery tender, Iā€™ve found, tends to extend the life of our batteries. We keep it plugged up in our 3rd car garage. Itā€™s great for the MX5 and now Supra that we donā€™t drive as much. I hit it up every now and then and top them off. And keep the terminals clean. I use CRC battery cleaner, then apply CRC battery terminal protector. Any brand will probably do. And boiling water cleans it right off as wellā€¦

i did something similar but cut a hole through a rubber grommet and went around the long way. don't think it was worth the extra effort in retrospect...
