Agreed 100%, but I was looking for value, not just the cheapest. There's a good tire for every price point. Trying to see what's below the (IMO) premium PS4S segment.305 Michelin PS4S
2 things I will never cheap out on
Brakes and tires
I'm a big fan of the Indy 500s. I run them on my other car. I don't think these are available in a size that's friendly to my aftermarket wheels. Otherwise, yes, this is the kind of answer I'm looking for. What tires are a price tier below PS4S, etc., but aren't terrible? This is what I like to run in town and year round on all our cars:
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Firestone&tireModel=Firehawk+Indy+500&frontTire=535WR9FHI5XL&rearTire=735WR9FHI5XL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Toyota&autoYear=2022&autoModel=GR Supra 3.0&autoModClar=Premium, Red Brakes
I may just pony up and stick to grip driving this car. I just wanted to see if there were tires that wouldn't break the bank and I wouldn't mind burning through fairly regularly. Wide 19s are not as fun to purchase as skinnier 18s, for sure.I just put on a new set of wheels and tires.
new michelin PS4S is waaaay better than the stock PSS.
my rear doesn't fishtail anymore.
in the rain, they grip very, very well too.
imo, you should get the best tires that you can afford...your car and life's at stake.
I worry about these in the wet.I’m personally keeping the OEM wheels since i had them refinished but in spring i plan on upgrading to Nitto 555rii 285 in the rear and 555G2 265 in the front. I’ve heard the hook really well
Leaning towards this and getting in control of myself wanting to turn off VSC when I head out for errands.Michelin PS4S or Continental ExtremeContact Sport in 275 front and 295 or 305 rear would be a good bet. Both are better than PSS imo.
Thanks for the suggestion - no 295/35s, but a good option for other widths at 19".yokohoma adven apex v601
Same, good suggestion, but no 295/35/19s from what I see.Falken FK510
I appreciate you all! Hopefully, this helps others, too, who looking for good tires that aren't looking to drop $460/tire.
