I’ve seen a lot of guys like the Nitto 555r2 drag radial. Great grip that won’t kill you if it rains.

Can you still drive in rain if you are just driving regularly?
I had 555Rs on my STi back in the day. They were fine in the rain, they just don't have a ton of tread depth so hydroplaning is a risk if you're at speed and hit a deep puddle.

Sure glad I live in Seattle where it never rains. No but seriously, I'm getting good info from these responses and grateful for this community's willingness to share their experience and knowledge.

540 on stock tires, no issue so far?

888R's are great, but tons of road noise/chatter. Mickey's streets are a solid choice (havent used, but everyone I know that went from 888Rs went there and are happy)

I personally was going to get mps4s but people were saying they still suck at 295/35/19 in the rear. I most likely won’t pass 520whp at most, maybe not even 500whp so I wanted to see what was the best route. I do daily this vehicle.

My vote is for a Cup2. The R888R's are a track tire: not safe in the rain and loud. I'd suggest the Supercar 3R but I still don't think they are appropriate for a daily driver. I hear good things about the NT05 but no experience with them.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my IS-F and they are a great summer/wet tire, you wont find better than that at this time.

At 500-600whp you are going to be scrambling for traction regardless of tire - and if you get a tire to hook you are going to be stressing your driveline.

I don’t drive my tuned Supra in the Seattle rain. Its bad enough watching out for all the bad drivers let alone trying to keep myself out of the ditch with stock tires.

Hey there I have a 1999 bmw e36 that I’m rotary swapping right now. I have a tire problem and it seems that you Toyota guys talk about tire size a lot. The max width I can run is 10” wide and I’ll be making 500 to 600 wheel. I really don’t think it will hook. What are you guy’s recommendations for tires?. It is a street car but not a daily only when it’s nice out it will be drivin or for some street racing. I know it’s weird to post here but I can’t find anything else as people don’t make Over 400 on these cars it seems.
