Heard someone tell me running a catless down pipe on a manual isn’t smart but they didn’t elaborate further and I can’t find any threads about it specifically for a supra, any thoughts?

Causes overboost but a tune could resolve that.Heard someone tell me running a catless down pipe on a manual isn’t smart but they didn’t elaborate further and I can’t find any threads about it specifically for a supra, any thoughts?
Should be fine for OP, he put his brake lights in the front of his car.Causes overboost but a tune could resolve that.
having been there, done that - I'd pass. Car just overboosts constantly and throttle is always over-correcting it, so you probably aren't getting any gains. Wait for a tune.Heard someone tell me running a catless down pipe on a manual isn’t smart but they didn’t elaborate further and I can’t find any threads about it specifically for a supra, any thoughts?

This is great insight...but you have to remember that OP put his brake lights in his headlights. Can we trust him to adjust the compressor table?I had to pull around 3-4 %on the compressor table and, 15% duty cycle to get the boost +-1 psi , i still need to fine tune it further
You will lose power with stock tune but once you custom tune it , it will be great
sure it does but honestly OTS is trash on MT, just go custom and save your money getting the cheaper mhd licenseFWIW, MHD's Stage 2 OTS tune "corrects" the MT's over boost issue as well. Obviously a custom tune would be optimal, but the OTS map is a decent base.
No argument here, I completely agree -- just throwing it out there so it's known.sure it does but honestly OTS is trash on MT, just go custom and save your money getting the cheaper mhd license
I was reading your other thread on here. The issues you were having, was that from having a catless downpipe on a MT? Or is it just the MHD OTS tunes themselves causing you all the issues? I live in a location where I only have access to 94 octane and I was hoping MHD's OTS would be enough.sure it does but honestly OTS is trash on MT, just go custom and save your money getting the cheaper mhd license
Haha! Enjoy riding on D all day. While you’re doing that I’m grabbing my knob and wiggling it around at every stop light.![]()
ZF8 supremacy confirmed…...... Best of luck, gentlemen. Do keep us posted with your endeavors.
I only had the limp mode issue on the e40 map but admittedly didnt put that many miles on the 93 ots.I was reading your other thread on here.
