That P table is crazy aggressive in the higher deviation areas. That means P can give up to 50% more WGDC. If you need to have it that aggressive, than your base WGDC tuning needs more work.

D is dampening. Slows or speeds up P response.

For larger turbos, P can be more aggressive without as many ill effects, on stock turbo, you have to make sure it's not too aggressive or it can get erratic.

In simple terms. Your base wgdc should be the main tuning table and you use PID for error correction for different ambient temps and driving conditions.

I am currently tuning my personal G-series M240i, here are my in-progress WGDC, P/D, boost target tables.

E50. Stock car, stock dp, drop in air filter.

You can see I need to tweak P and D a bit, and some tweaks to base WGDC.

Ill let you know how it works out. Right now the spool up after a shift is slower than I'd like. WGDC is not staying at 100 long enough on spool up.

Here's the reply I got from MHD:

Hi,

pls share logs so we can review them.
There are only a handful of 6MT Supras out there and our customers that did testing for us had no issues at all.

Also use MHD NLS for much smoother and better shifts at WOT.

Thanks

Crazy that they said NLS is smoother than shifting normally. NLS kicks the rear end hard as hell for me but maybe that’s my inexperience showing

I don't like the concept so haven't bothered with it, tbh.

You are right about the values in P tables, my boost deviation is roughly 1.88 WGDC for every 1 psi of boost, roughly. At 10 psi, I should be asking for 18.8 WGDC max, probably less at higher deviation.

The reason I put more than double what is needed is that at 10 psi deviation, that is basically the spooling area, and -10 that basically overboosts, and I would need a safeguard to close/open the wastegate. Yes, that is a band-aid, not an accurate tuning. I will fine-tune it once I see how it reacts on the street.

I built my WGDC table based on my previous logs, at 10, 14, 16, 19 psi pulls, and removed 5% in the areas I'm overboosting and extrapolated the difference. This is where I got the 1.88% for every psi.
I will still need to fine-tune it.

Didn't get a chance yesterday to try MHD+, hopefully I will today.

So I flashed to the latest MHD 98RON OTS tune today and sure enough, I got the 30E08 - Power management Battery below upper limit error and CEL. Cleared fine of course, but I also got this on iDrive.

Didn't clear on the drive or after a brief stop. I'm going to let it sit for a day then go for another drive and see if it goes away.. like it hopefully usually does.

Of course, if you mention any of this to MHD they just deny the flash had anything to do with it, even though these errors never happen any other time. 🙄

Out of curiosity, what BIN ID is yours?

I get this every flash. Never had that idrive error though.

My car does nothing weird when I flash it. Maybe this is just a manual thing?

Do you have a theory?

I flashed again today and while the battery CEL appeared as usual, the Oil one didn't appear until after a drive and engine on/off cycle. I suspect it will once again disappear after a rest. Instead of oil, I've had tyre pressure reading errors in the past.

I don't know why it's doing this but it's as if the flash somehow destroys some recent data and until the car gets new data, the ECU thinks there is some kind of data logging error.

I reached out to MHD and they just shrugged their shoulders and told me it's not their problem.

Nope. Stock battery - Never replaced. And I'm using the orange universal MHD OBDII dongle, as an aside.
