Changed wheels, TPMS?

I recently changed wheels to work meister s1 3p!

The shop didnt transfer the TPMS over because they said the wheels didnt have the second hole drilled as well as not having TPMS Adapters?

Can anyone point me in the direction of which adapters they are talking about?

The sensors are on the back of the valve stem, I'm not sure what the shop means by a "second" hole or adapters

It's an issue with the wheel itself. That model wheel IIRC uses some weird TPMS adapter that you have to buy.

Your wheels are 3 piece and as such they likely use a 90 degree valve stem as opposed to a traditional valve stem.

So in order to get TPMS working you have a few ways of going about it, a lot of shops will say to just drill the barrels for a second valve stem/TPMS. This works but looks stupid since you now have two valve stems sticking out of each wheel.

The next option is to get an adapter. Work sells these for their 3P Wheels: https://www.workwheelsusa.com/product/tpms/

What those do is give you a bracket that mounts inside the barrel that you'd install the TPMS on, since it's inside the barrel, it'd get covered by the tire and you'll never see it. This would be the better of the two options:

Gotta be careful with those 90 deg adapters, an inexperienced installer can easily snap the head of the sensor if the sensor isn’t set to the correct spot during the install/removal of the tire.

Depending on the design of the inner barrel you can drill and insert a sleeve for the tpms right under the drop center with no clearance issues.

Some cars will not allow some features to work without a properly working TPMS.. is that the case on our cars? If not, I'd just run it without the sensors. Sure the error light would come on, but oh well. At least you know that the LED behind the error light is working.

As mentioned above, a second hole can be drilled in the barrel to accommodate a TPMS sensor. That was done on my 2P wheels, see picture. Bottom hole is for 90* valve stem, top is for TPMS.
