The RC-1's are pretty quick. Grassroots just did a test of them vs Nankang AR1 and Toyo RR. They where all basically the same time. To be honest, I think the top Super 200tw's are faster than the "older" 100tw, but don't last as long or have as good heat tolerance. You just need to pick what you want out of a tire.

well, i am glad there are some options. Was super hard this spring finding ANY available 200tw I have another set of CR-S on the way. First time I have run back to back 200 tires because i like them so much. I don't think they fall off as much as the venerable AO52 will be my 4th set od 200tw for this track season. Hope it gets me through the Fall and into spring. Have a couple more weekends on current set.

My Maxxis's always seemed to last me the longest and had really good grip. There were definitely better compounds out there for competition (such as the BFGoodrich racing slicks on the MX5 Cup cars), but the price was exponential.

Little secret. Phil's Tires has a billion Nankangs. He is local to me and I go over there to pick up my tires. He has a huge warehouse filled to the ceiling with tires. It's like a track guy wonder land.

And yes, the Nankang CR-S are my new favorite tire by far.

I do have Nitto NT05, 275 40 18 on all corners. was able to get $220 per tire. will see during this season.
Kumho v730’s are, imho, the best “budget” track tire. There are close to the super 200’s and only cost $179 each in 275/35/18.

Absolute bargain for the price/performance ratio.

You guys ever tried Maxxis? The grip is insane for the price and last quite a long time on track, imo. I’m going to have to call them. Can’t find my size 275/35-18 at the moment… but usually ~$275/tire

It’s funny because I’ll try just about any kind of brake pad for this new to me platform. But I’m sooooo picky about trying a new tire. Unless it’s a 100 tread wear or under.

I have been using toyo rr because I thought they were cheap but these are $400 less per set ...

I am going to run these as my next set of tires instead of the rr's see how they compare

Yea that would be great as I am curious about the RR's because they are priced well in 295/30/18 but $$$$$ in any other size. lol.

Best price I have found for the Kumho V730 is on SimpleTire: https://simpletire.com/brands/kumho-tires/ecsta-v730

I bought from them, they are legit.

Yea the 295/30/18 RR is what I use - I ordered the 275/35/18 from simpletire total cost shipped was only 760 ... Total savings $500 RR cost me about $1200/set not likely have them before this weekend but will experiment with them next month

Cheap just sounds gross.

These aren’t cheap but damn impressive for the price! How does that sound? ?

If you liked the Toyo Proxes RR, I think you’d be quite impressed with the Victra RC-1
